ACI Toys: 1/6 ARAGORN (Improved Production Copy updated!)

Over the nazgul, this figure really shines in your photography, Paramore. Makes me tempted get get at least this from the ACI line.

I really love the way the Evenstar and that green Elven cloak brooch shines all metallic-y. Really pops against the clothing.

I'd really recommend it, the whole package is excellent. The boxes get overlooked a lot and this one is great quality.

I wouldn't use hairgel cause once it dries you won' tbe able to mess with the hair.
I would use grease or wax. It will give to the hair a greasy look and you will be able to play with them cause wax doesn't dries.

You're the expert here, so I'll defer to you, but what type of grease or wax? Is there a particular brand you use?

Looking forward to this. PO'd from onesixthkit (iyiyyi), but haven't heard anything yet.

I don't know why it is so hard for some companies to take decent shots of their protos. They don't care or don't realise that they might pick up more sales as a result?

These are the first pics I have seen of this figure that actually make it look good without having to mentally fill in the gaps.

Echoing what Jason said, its a great figure just the hair, looks like aragorn has been doing some loreal adverts since the fall of sauron. Here are some shots i took in the detolf, will be taking some scissors and wax to the hair at the weekend.

It amazes me too... like it REALLY must hurt their sales to some extent. I am sure there are some who are not wise to these forums... and all they have seen is the bad shots they have shown. ACI owes people like Paramorecr88 because now I am going to keep my preorder haha.

I am not familiar with hair wax... any recommended brands for us to use?

Looks great! I'm not sure why ACI went with the eyes looking up though. A dead-on look would have been preferable.

Dax grease is the best. That is what i'm using for my hair.

I'll try and switch mine to a leaner body. I think ACI's Christian body is just too bulky for this guy. . . and wax up that hair. I think we've got a winner here.

It was because of you that I trusted this sculpt will be best in the market. So, you played a big part in choosing this (and paying a bit "extra" for a release).
