I think this is the angle that will work best because of the direction the eyes are looking.

The likeness looks great there. But it looks as if the hair is a little bit too long. Is that true?

Yes the hair is quite long. It's also too thick and too much of it. A good futz makes a great difference. I may also trim it a bit too.

It is amazing how much that helped!

Yep, good bit of futzing does the trick ;)

I'll wait for a few more pics and in-hand observations, but this looks quite good.

Will post more pics later once I've futzed a bit more. But other than the hair and base, (it's quite cheap) everything else is great quality. Clothing is very well done. The inscription is missing from Anduril though.

Wow the face looks great there! Super excited for mine to arrive. I'd much rather the hair be too long and be able to trim it than have it too short and not be able to do anything about it. I was worried about how short it looked in some photos so this is a relief.

Yes there's plenty of hair there to futz with ;)

I was watching the movie last night... Aragorn does actually have those forehead wrinkles quite a bit of the time. They seem a bit dramatic on this one, but I highly look forward to seeing the better pics later today!

Will post some pics tonight. Hoping Stealth will too as his arrived also. :duff

2nd pic looks really good but need straight on shots. Wrinkles work there but the earlier shots they looked too deep.

Will take some straight on shots for you :)

Yes definitely. I'll be posing him with the head tilted forward.

Those pics are VERY encouraging. But I think I'll have some hair gel on hand. Any one of you kids out there with hair can recommend a good one?

I wouldn't use hairgel cause once it dries you won' tbe able to mess with the hair.
I would use grease or wax. It will give to the hair a greasy look and you will be able to play with them cause wax doesn't dries.

Overall, very impressed with Aragorn. Clothing is nicely tailored and weathered. Accessories are great but paint apps are a little untidy in places. Liking the sculpt, definitely Viggo, it's not perfect but is almost there, maybe a bit narrow? But the hair is the main issue. It needs a lot of futzing and maybe a trim. Once the hair is sorted, he looks amazing. Very pleased to have picked one up.

Damn I used a bit of gel, it was all I had. But was only small amount mixed in with warm water.

Wow, that looks amazing. Good work paramore.

I need a little more pics to decide (need to see more of the eyes), but I'm still going to stand by what I said initially way back when that this will be the best Strider/Aragorn figure overall. I think people were overreacting in the beginning. Sure, the hair could be shorter, but unless paramore is tricking us with the lighting, this certainly doesn't look like a dude in drag. This looks like a ranger from the north.

Where'd you order the figure from Para? Looks really good with the hair futz properly.

Phew way better! I would love to see some shots with a little more light in the eyes, but I am definitely seeing the likeness much better!

I am feeling much better about this now!

Thanks for posting some good shots of this guy! Also glad to see the skin texture came through the injection mold process too. Not bad for an all digital print out :)

No worries you can use some water to remove the gel. The good thing with was is that it will make the hair less shiny.

Ah ok cool, thanks. I'll see if I can get something more suitable to work with :)

The hair does need to be a bit shorter but not by much. Main problem is that it's really thick, there's just too much of it! :lol

I'll take some more pics in the detolf, I'll try and get better shots of the eyes.

I ordered from an eBay seller in HK. Ordered Sunday night and arrived today.

This looks excellent, so thrilled, great work. Definitely stoked. Hair was the correct choice

Over the nazgul, this figure really shines in your photography, Paramore. Makes me tempted get get at least this from the ACI line.

I really love the way the Evenstar and that green Elven cloak brooch shines all metallic-y. Really pops against the clothing.
