I think Russel's pretty good. Liked him 'Gladiator', and he looks pretty good in 'American Gangster'.

I don't find Jim Carrey that funny. He was great in The Mask, but I really hated him in Batman Forever. Every 'joke' in that movie sucks and just makes Carrey look like some basement-dwelling nerd who drank 10 cans of Mountain Dew before hand. Then again, I think I should blame Shoemaker for that since he isn't exactly known for his comedy directing abilities(IE: The Incredible Shrinking Woman, D.C Cab).

The ones I REALLY don't like are the SNL 'actors' and their 'acting' today. Doesn't hold a candle to when Belushi, Akroyd and Chase were on there back when it was first on.

I don't really hate actors. I have a great ammount of admiration for a lot of them (including many of the one's that's been mentioned so far). I do stay clear of the obvious crap (to me) like Glitter, Gigli, xXx 1 & 2 but once in awhile someone makes a movie or two that's worth watching and having in your collection, like Vin Diesel in Pitch Black or Lindsay Lohan in Bobby or A Prarie Home Companion. I can't stand Kirsten Dunst but i'm a big fan of the Spider-Man movies so i just put my feelings aside for those two hourse and enjoy a great movie

Also, not every rapper sucks as actors. Just look at Andre Benjamin, Mos Def, Tupac (RIP) and Ice Cube (even though he's made a couple of stinkers lately). And RZA from Wu-Tang is starting to get a little attention because of American Gangster and Method Man is also pretty good.

The only one I can't stand is that ass-clown from Nepolean Dynamite (John Heder?) who looks like Beavis and/or Butt-head. But maybe I'm only saying that because he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. No, on top of that he just gets on my nerves.

Some of my favorite performers up there - Steve Carrell, Jack Black, Jim Carrey. Did you see THE DEPARTED? No one can claim Leo isn't an actor after that one.

since everyone has their own tastes, i didn't list all the hate i have for terrible acting. but i can say that alot of the people listed in this thread were movie stars and not actors. they are there to sell movies and they wouldn't be there unless the public put them there.

Jude Law and Hugh Grant. Besides the 'Royal' family (shotgun anyone?), these 2 prize dicks make me ashamed to be British. Law with his arrogant, smary ways and Grant, all flop and no balls.

Judy Dench, Maggie Smith and Helen Mirram can all suck the big one too. Believe me, the UK does NOT still dwell in the 19th Century, we DON'T all sit around dinner tables having oh so civil conversations about the state of the Empire, and I for one CAN'T STAND F'N TEA!!!!!!! I agree with you dave,

Alot of actors I like are up there! I think Jack Black is really funny and his band is pretty good! Steve Carrell, Will Farell, Jim carrey can be a bit over the top, but has some good stuff! Cameron diaz is HOT, and she has done some pretty good movies!

I can go on with plenty of actors mentioned in this thread.. But every has diffrent taste and opinions

There's some actors I think is like that... but not Will Farrell (Jim Carrey sometimes) they have another style of comedy, and yeah, it can be loud and rather forced sometimes. but that is a style I think is funny...

I can't on the other hand stand when people just make fool's of them self by doing something embarassing, but some people think that's funny...'

all comes down to that we are diffrent and have diffrent opinions...
