Will Farrell was in one of the greatest Christmas films ever.

ELF!!!

Actually Elf was pretty funny. And Anchorman and Talladega Nights were comedy genius, especially compared to something like Baseketball.

Actors I can't stand:

Owen Wilson (good call!)
Joaquin Phoenix
Chris Tucker

I'm sure there are more

george clooney
jeremy irons
the sixth sense kid
andy lau

and most young actors. (I know they are probably 30+ in reality, but they are still annoyiing.)

Could somebody explain something to be about the movie TALLADEGA NIGHTS? Near the end of the movie they make a big deal out of the fact that WF has lost all his sponsors and had to have his car repainted to show he has no sponsors. They then rip the cover from the cover and behold... at least half of it is still covered with sponsor decals.

What the......!?!?!?!?

And how fast can a car go in reverse?

Are these gross mistakes, sloppy filmmaking or do they lamely pass for even more humor?

Because it makes no sense to me.

Probably gross mistakes, like that quote at the beginning attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt.:lol:lol:lol

Mistakes? A movie - an over the top comedy at that - that has stuff in it that isn't realistic? That's just dumb - that NEVER happens.

Hmmmmm...I've been giving this some thought and right now my list is small because I'm having a hard time thinking up names

1. Nicholas Cage
2. Eddie Murphy
3. Singers who try to act i.e. Beyonce, J.Lo
4. Lindsey Lohan (she had one good film- Mean Girls, but that's been it)
5. Sharon Stone
6. Hayden Christensen

and I'm sure there are many more I can't think of.

Darklord Dave, I can't believe you put Joaquin Phoenix on your list!! I adore him - he so totally kicked butt in Gladiator!!!

Holy crap, the sarcasm meter is off the charts!!:lol

But really though G, you can't take movies like that serious. Just sit back and enjoy. Unless your one of those freaks that watch movies just to find errors and s@#t like that, then i feel sorry for you.

How can you hate on Russel Crowe, he's one of the best actors today and has made of alot of classics and semi-classics.

LA Confidential
The Insider
Gladiator
A beautiful Mind
Master & Commander: The Far Side Of The World
Cinderella Man
3:10 To Yuma
American Gangster

Thank you for your sympathies but please do not feel sorry for me. Your sorrow and pity should be extended to lazy filmmakers who think just because it is a comedy they can insult the audience and pay no attention to writing, continuity or anything else that normally passes for professionalism.
When I heard about TNights I thought it could be great as the entire NASCAR scene is just ripe for somebody to really make fun of it and the people who live and die by it --- little did I know that it would be a huge softball that stayed clear of any satire about the scene or its fans. What a disappointment. And I did not think it was funny.

Wow, some people here have some very questionable tastes.

At least 1/3 of the names I've seen are some extremely talented people. I don't get it.

Then again, this is "Actors I can't stand", not necessarily "Actors who are not good."

It really all comes down to personal taste. No ones taste is questionable. It just what you like and don't like. I give Ill a hard time abour Will Ferrell or Jim Carey, but it all boils down to personal taste just like in music.

Well, of course.

I don't begrudge anyone their opinion and they are more than entitled to it. But I also reserve the right to question why some of these names appear numerous times.

There is no right or wrong, though. We can agree on that.

Jen, please do not compare the BEAUTIFUL and talented Beyonce to that talenteless ho bag, J.Lo is no where in the same league as B.

Joaquin Phoenix was totally GAY in Gladiator, but he was great in Signs.
