Ada Wong vs. ANY new Assassin's Creed figure

We should star a new thread, "Ada Wong vs. Everyone". Since she's become the new "gold standard" by which to judge things (as established by dsokyra in this thread) , we can have her fight against The Avengers, X-Men, Watchmen, Iron Man, Batman, etc.

I'm pretty sure she can manage as long as she backs that ass up!

Connor isn't that well known. As far as AC goes, he's the "new kid on the block". RE has been around for a long time, and the fan base recognizes Ada as a well established character.

You misunderstand me, i'm not saying one is better than the other i'm saying its more like HT to do a character who is recent and riding the popularity surge of being current rather than an established character that isn't relevant at the current moment.

Connor is riding the hype of staring in his own game where as Ada hasn't got anything current about her right now.

9.5 times out of 10 they'd do a Thor figure rather than a John McClane figure because Thor is 'current' and John isn't.

So it's surprising they did Ada but not Connor

Except Resident Evil 6 came out a weeks ago and was all about Ada. And all though this look of hers is re4, the Re 6 line hasnt been announced. But thats like saying, we have just made Revelations but we are putting out Brotherhood Ezio. People would still jump on it. Like they did with AC2 Ezio

... after my whine about ac3 i did do 2 more levels. Just finished sequence 4, i feel the game is insulting me. All ive done all day is tutorials. Im hoping i like the game in the end. But at the moment im having to put my all in to plod through it.

Understandable, but HT is known for revisiting old franchises out of the blue as well. Thing is, they announced they were doing an RE4 Ada about two years ago, and we're just now getting her finally. Plus, Ada is relevant now because she's in Resident Evil 6 and has a lot to do with her

Well, its not all about Ada in a character sense, there is 6 protagonists other than her who get fleshed out, there is other antagonists. But her as a character is the overall why the **** is hitting the fan is pretty much the entire focus on the game. Its the most she has ever featured in an RE game by a long shot

I'm not saying that either. The fact is, that RE has always been one of Hot Toys' most popular lines. Ezio was riding the "popularity surge" for two entire years (if you want to call it that), but that didn't exactly help with the sale of his figure. Now for someone like Connor, who isn't as established as Ezio, would you expect for a figure of him to sell any better than Ezio's?

This is very much unlike RE, where Hot Toys has proven success in sales, regardless of which character they release.

All joking aside though, it would be amazing if Hot Toys can pick up the AC line again. Personally, I've wanted the Master Assassin and Romulus versions of Ezio for the longest time.

Hopefully, with the release of AC 3, the series will become more popular in the long run - enough to give Hot Toys the justification to release some figures again

Yeah the truth is that over half the people that voted would rather have ANY AC figure than Ada Wong...better get your little RE coalition to cast more votes!
