He looks better but still not all that recognizable.

Needs some serious futzing like Praji, but the sculpt looks a little better there. Still not sure about this guy though. You know as soon as this guy ships, TARKIN will be announced, and I'd rather have him as my green Imperial.

I think he looks good. but this needs to be seriously discounted before I consider buying him. Even with the pro body its just not worth more than like $40 to me.

Looks good to me. I bet the figure is going to look better with the plastic cap.

I think the plastic cap is the way to go. That's what's on my Praji. I don't much like the look of the cloth one.

Properly futzed, I expect the cloth cap will look as good on Piett as Praji, and the face looks fine, I'm sure it'll look much more like Piett with real lighting, those photos are so evenly lit, there's hardly any contrast, no good shadow highlight forms.

It seems that the doll dots are getting smaller as well.

Its hard to say whether or not he really does have the doll dot from those pics. I sure hope Piett is the first SS fig to do away with it.

Per the caps, I actually prefer the cloth ones. Before I had Praji I was sure I would use the sculpted cap but once I got it in hand to my eyes the cloth looks far better.

Yup, I find the plastic one seems too tall.

From Rebelscum, with plastic hat.

Cloth hat, I like it better.

But the beauty is, you get both with every Imperial officer, it seems, thankfully, I don't think anyone's ever not liked one of them so that way, everyone ends up happy.

piett looks great. the eyes even look good. can't wait to get him. and i like the cloth hats too. at first i hated it but after you futz it just right it looks perfect.

The cloth ones do have to be futzed a bit, right out of the box, they're a bit goofy looking, but with just a little play you can make them look really sharp, and I find the plastic ones look just that, sometimes Sideshow can make plastic look like cloth, Gandalf's hat is fantastic in that regard, but the Imperial ones look like vinyl almost, quite shiny and smooth, but again, we all get options to make the figure to our liking.

Another plus it is clearly green now, the costume, I don't know if it was proto fabric or camera lighting, but the proto was a bit too grey looking.

I might get this one later, I did order but cancelled considering all the figures I've got coming, I may even chuck my own sculpt on it

On the contrary....I think he looks a lot better than that proto-photo. Now he does look like Piett.

And the cloth hat is definitely the way to go for me, Praji needed a lot of futzing, but once done, he looks great. The major difference here is that the green uniform is going to be less forgiving to the eye and will really require some attention to detail to get it looking good....

Wor-Gar is probably right though...I have this feeling that Tarkin is just around the corner....but can one ever have too many Imperials for Vader to command?

I hope Wor-Gar's right, Piett and Tarkin are it for me as far as Imperial leadership, so if I can scratch them off the dream list, it's less to worry about if I will or won't see it made before the line runs its course.

Looking again, the paint work looks great too.

Yeah, the paint work is really nice. Maybe when I see some different pics of him I'll see more Piett. For right now though all I see is a passing resemblence in the eyes.

With Vader out now it'll be hard not to try and build up an Imp army around him.
