Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

That really isn't a comparison that detracts from MoS, if anything it's a compliment :lol

Oh nam, your "smartass attitude" always works against you :rotfl

Not really. You just take everything at face value without looking at the deeper implications. It should've been as epic as, say, the moment Keaton lifts the punk on the roof and growls, "I'm Batman!" Or the first time we see Iron Man walk out of the cave in the MKI. Instead it was oddly memorable in a way it shouldn't have been. I saw it with a packed house and at that moment, everybody should've applauded, instead they didn't. Everybody was quiet until he steps to the edge and does the Goku thing before flying, at which point, the theater laughed. I'll bet ya a solid $10, that's not the intent Snyder had in mind. :nono :lol

Yup, audience was dead silent for the entire movie during my viewings.

No Ahhhs, Woohs. :lol

Don't be silly Nam, there is no deeper you :cuckoo: :lol

Well they did applaud and yelled "woohs" each of the 3 times I went to see it at the theater, didn't hear any laughs unless they were on the intended scenes, if you ask me, it was weird to expect applauses in a house :dunno.

I take it as a compliment for the movie, given how iconic ET's little walk was :lecture

It's not weird to expect applause at the first sight of a superhero in costume. First time Burton's Batmobile flashed on screen it got a standing ovation. Same thing when the camera pulls back to reveal Stark's MKII in the first Iron Man. Hell, even Batman's reveal in TDK got a standing ovation. MoS? Nada. It was also odd that everybody was silent leaving the theatre except for a ghetto ***** who was yelling repeatedly at a woman for asking her to close her phone, "Don't you be tellin' me what to do. You ain't my momma, *****!"

It's weird to expect applause inside a house, everytime I see a movie with friends or family, everybody's cracking jokes, which is why I hate watching movies with most of my friends most times :lol well what can I say, I heard a substantial applause and cheering every time superman shows up with his suit for the 1st time every time I went to the theater, even a small general oooooh/oouch when he broke Zod's neck.

The first time the Keatonmobile was on screen there were audable "holy sh-t!"s heard in my theater.

Henry Cavill isn't bad as Superman, but he hasn't had a chance to be great yet either.

Oh my bad, once in a while an idiom has to escape me :lol I'm foreign after all, give me some credit for the ones I do know :lol

Well, hopefully he'll be given a chance to shine in BATMAN vs superman. :rotfl

That I agree with 100%. I think Cavill is a good choice for Superman. I don't even really mind the new suit (well, I understand the need to update it). It's everything else I take issue with and now with them shoehorning Batman into it (though technically they're shoehorning Superman's sequel into a Batman movie), I'm skeptical he'll ever get the chance.

Fair enough. :lol :duff

Well, it was the 1st modern Batmobile to be seen.

I can agree to that, not many insightful lines, more reactive than proactive, wasn't in control, it was justified for me but I do hope he's a lot more mature of a character in B/S, most of the time it felt like the supporting cast was providing the characterization for him, which is good, it has to represent them, but it mostly has to be his own character.

I don't see how hating this show is a "hipster" thing. A hipster would hate a show like Breaking Bad just because it's popular.

This show is fairly popular, but I rarely hear anyone talk about it outside of nerds. It's kinda there. Unlike Breaking Bad, where people can't stop talking about.

Breaking Bad was not like that at first. It only picked up steam in the last 12-18 months.
