That's how long I lasted...I just ordered her from a Canadian store in Montreal. Their return system isn't the greatest, but options are dwindling, so fingers crossed it turns out okay! On the plus side, I requested they open it and check the eyes before sending...can't hurt, eh?

Cmdstore I assume, they're decent . I've a few problems with 2 of the 3 statues I've order from them and were a pain to get replaced through them so I got them directly from sideshow replaced.

Good to hear, wasn't sure if I was being odd in their eyes
I mentioned the issue with the eyes, and they said that it's subjective, so what they may think was okay they'd send and I may find it less than appealing. I ended up sending two links to them:This one showing the bad lazy eye from the forums.
And this one showing the proper (or at least more proper) eyes.
I basically said as long as they aren't as bad as the first statue, as I know from other posts that sometimes eyes can look off from certain angles but are fine overall. I'm totally cool with that, I just would prefer not to have one way off in right field. While most things would be subjective, I'd think an eye like that would be easy to spot...I hope
Yep, CMDstore...from what I can tell, they're one of the only ones that has her available anymore in Canada. Yeah, they basically said I'd have to pay the return shipping to them, and I'd lose the initial shipping as well if I needed a refund/replacement. Hopefully having them check it beforehand will solve that, because I could definitely see it being a pain going through any type of return process there.

Yeah, for sure. I guess there's a bit of a lesson to be learned here on my part, and that's to just go for it if it's something you really want. Obviously it's not always that easy (as I'll feel the hit of this $400 a bit harder due to the abruptness of the purchase) but it seems that things can vanish without a trace quite quickly. Has that happened to you on any particular purchase you were holding off on?

So, I went to see Adam Hughes yesterday. We had a really long chat cause that guy is amazing. We talked about Nathan Fillion, which was fun, and we also talked about this very statue. Now, I don't know how much was said to me in confidence, so I wont share a certain part of our conversation BUT, it is not his or SSC's fault that the bird wasn't added to the pf.
Here's my two prints signed, and here's a photos of us together. I really, really like AH! He's a great guy. If you ever get the chance to meet him, do it.

Congrats!! It's always awesome to meet someone you admire, or want to meet, and have them turn out to be all that you expected and more! Sounds like he's a really nice guy, and all that does is make you like him more, and want to support his work more. Always pays off to be nice to fans (environment and fan attitude pending, of course!)

Agreed. Not only does he produce some beautiful artwork, he's a genuinely nice guy to go on top of it.
That's awesome BG. Hughes is certainly one of the best atm. I wonder what happened to his comiquette line. Did he comment anything about that?
