So, I went to see Adam Hughes yesterday. We had a really long chat cause that guy is amazing. We talked about Nathan Fillion, which was fun, and we also talked about this very statue. Now, I don't know how much was said to me in confidence, so I wont share a certain part of our conversation BUT, it is not his or SSC's fault that the bird wasn't added to the pf.
Here's my two prints signed, and here's a photos of us together. I really, really like AH! He's a great guy. If you ever get the chance to meet him, do it.
I was there scouting out the show because I might set up a table next year, definitely trying for Dallas comic con in may
If that's the case, and I end up going, I would love to stop by your table and say 'hey!!'

Cool it will be nice to meet some fellow statue collectors, scifi expo definitely seemed for the toy and comic crowd. I am hoping to have a decent amount of custom pieces to show off
Definitely! In fact I usually just go to Cons primarily so I can find good deals on comics, dvds and statues. Of course enjoying the sights and sounds is nice too.

I went to the dallas con last year in irving and that was a nightmare. It was so hot and steamy. The escalator went out so everyone was walking up and down three or four flights of stairs. It was very disorganized. Just my experience.
I went to the fan days in October, let me tell you, we went through the same crap. It was the most disorganized thing ever and we were pretty pissed. It was more like a waste of our day than anything. The lines were not managed well at all so we ended up in line being frustrated more than getting to see a single thing.
This time around, however, they seemed to work it out a bit better so we were pleased with that.

That's good to hear...Im from san antonio and was discouraged about going back. I love conventions but they seemed really unprepared for the crowd. I spent a lot of time fighting crowds and confused about where to go. Didn't seem enjoyable for someone coming from out of town considering price of tickets, hotels and charge for parking in a big grass field.
On a side note if u go and set up spazzy let me know...that would b incentive to go back
If anyone does want to go and take photos with an actor, I advise you to buy photo op tickets online first. This way you do not have to wait in the ticket line at the convention. Let me tell you, there is nothing good about waiting. You will not see much of the show if you do not buy tickets ahead of time.

So basically Square Enix wanted the bird gone. Figures...The statue is still one of the best statues and easily the best Lara statue. She was my first PF! The bird wasn't make or break for me anyway.
