Those Akira posters are badass as you all may have heard. I WANT THE VARIANT EDITION OF 80 INSIDE ME!!!!

Damn, that Akira poster is sick, sick, sick!!!

Damn shame I will never own one, but congrats on scoring them :rock

So, wait for it, wait for it...

Who framed Roger Rabbit? :rotfl

It was MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!.....

In any case, with Mondo sometimes during current movies, I was wondering if anybody else would be interested in them doing the Harry Potter movies? Admittedly, they may be a bit mainstream for them, but over time doing a whole set of 7 posters may make for one hell of a collection. Perhaps they may be seen as a bit childish for some collectors (especially the earlier movies), so it's probably me just daydreaming. Would anyone else be interested?

I think Star Wars is about as mainstream as you can get. I would guess licensing is the only hold up to popular things like Harry Potter. They have been doing a yearly Lord of the Rings Trilogy feast which would be a perfect event for a poster, yet they have never done one. Licensing is the only thing I can come up with as to why they haven't.:dunno:dunno:dunno

I was thinking about the Star Wars license myself. Personally, I feel that as mainstream as Star Wars certainly is, there is certainly a large amount of hardcore collectors that would buy the posters and such. To put Mondo and their choices in a nutshell, they certainly seem to go after the nerd factor. And as mainstream as Star Wars is, it's got a huge nerd factor to it. And hey, I'm sure it was a dream license for them to get anyway. Hopefully the Indiana Jones license has a good chance now to come to Mondo.

In any case, Mondo has done Warner Brothers licenses before, so Potter isn't totally unlikely. Though, I'm not going to pretend that I know what Warner is allowed to do merchandising-wise without having to ask higher-ups in the Potter ladder. Each license is different, so who's to say.

Definitely some text on the poster(you can just make out part of the word presents at the top) and it being Horkey, there will be fancy lettering.

I can almost see the dollar signs in your eyes. :lol

I take it you guys scored big again with those. What did the variant look like?
