Mondo will have a booth at Comic Con.

There will be a Tyler Stout Captain America print with an edition size of 150,000, so no attendees will be left out.

Nice! I will be making sure I get one. The problem will be getting the right size poster tube to get it home.

That is my concern to with any large prints. I have an extendable tube but in some cases it might be easier to just go to a UPS store and ship it home, depending on how big it is.

I have a feeling you really want a Tyler Stout Captain America print.

Your insight serves you well!

Hey, everybody:

I was serious about the Mondo booth.

I was kidding about 150,000 Stout posters. Mondo will never make that many copies of anything.

I really hope they give us a Captain America poster, but I have no idea whether or not that's actually happening. If they do, there will be limited copies and it will be a madhouse trying to get one. Think of a crazy Mondo drop for a Stout, but instead of fighting people on the internet, you are fighting real people in a crowd dressed like comic book characters. Insane!

They are doing a screening at SDCC introduced by Chris Evans where they are giving out posters, but Mondo wasn't mentioned where I read that, so who knows what poster that is going to be. I am guessing Mondo will have some new posters that will be available online when they get back and the archival prints will be similar to what they have in their flat file in store. Less popular stuff that is sold out online but still available in store with a few gems mixed in, such as sold out Stouts like Kill Bill and some AP posters. They have been randomly throwing those in the flat file in store for the past few months.

I'll check that out. Thank ya sir.

I hope whatever they do or have at comic-con will be smoother than their site at times.
Not sure where to get them individually, but the size you want is most likely 3"x36". I used those when I sold a bunch of my mondo posters last year.

They just posted a blog post on the details. It is going to be insane. Two releases a day, comic con only, no advanced knowledge.
They didn't say the releases wouldn't be sold afterwards. They just said they wouldn't be on sale in advance. I am betting they will have some of the stuff available after the con. I wish I had known they were going to be going this big at SDCC. I probably would have made a bigger effort to go this year.:slap

Yea, meant comic con first only. Pretty much like their movie releases.

Oh most likely, they will probably try and score new customers at the con. Should be good for them.

I bet that Stout Captain America if released at con will have a run of at least 1000. I bet it will be crowded, but I bet it won't be worse than anything else there. It is amazing how many people are unaware of this stuff, even the ones who go to con.

Yea that is what I am banking on, them being unknown and just following twitter.

I would have done it, too.

But nobody is getting anywhere near that booth. This whole approach sounds like something conceived by someone who has never done this before. Justin sounds like he actually expects to just see a few people hanging around chatting about comics and nobody else stopping by until they get a Tweet. This is Comic Con. People will line up outside the doors at 4 AM, head straight for the booth and crowd around it until they get something. The neighbors will complain. Security will escort people away. Business as usual.
