They don't have a booth or panel scheduled. My suspicion is that they will have a Mondo Mystery Movie at a local theater. They will Tweet the announcement at some point, and the fastest to respond will take their seats Thursday night when Captain America will start playing to a sold out crowd a night early, and 150 lucky people will leave with a Tyler Stout poster.

Meanwhile, I will be home in tears.
I know you are being somewhat sarcastic, but I don't see them releasing a print like Captain America as an exclusive like that. If they have a Cap print, it will have a run like IM2 and be available on the website. I can all but guarantee that.

Stout's Cap image was used on a cover to a Cap comic this past month... I have a feeling it's a blow up of that cover...

After releasing the Tyler Stout Akira print to attendees only at the screening in Austin, I'm not taking anything for granted anymore.

However, if there is indeed a Captain America print revealed at Comic Con, it's more likely that they will either sell the regular online and make the variant an SDCC exclusive, or else give away litho copies and sell the screenprints online (like they did with the Transformers print a week or two ago). Whatever they do, they will probably take the online customers into account, but it seems pretty clear that they have something planned for Comic Con this year.

My hope, after seeing the Tyler Stout comic cover, is that they are starting a partnership with Marvel. Mondo's artists will do cover art for Marvel comics, with Mondo later selling screenprints of the full artwork. Comic Con seems like the obvious place to announce that. I have my fingers crossed for a Mondo/Marvel series as cool as the Star Wars one from last year.

Captain America is a whole different animal compared to Akira. Akira is not some huge summer blockbuster, despite how many fans it may have. The backlash would be crazy if they did something like that with a Stout Captain America print. The Transformers scenario is the most likely. Of course some people are speculating it could be an Olly Moss release as he apparently mentioned he just sent some stuff to be printed. Either way, I am sure SDCC will have something cool, and it will definitely piss some people off as usual.:lol

I think that Stout and Moss have enough followers that any time their work is exclusive to an in person event, fans are going to be upset. I agree that Captain America by Stout would be a huge deal, and would absolutely have to be available to a wide audience. The fans would go nuts if they were not made available online in some form. But Mondo has shown lately that they aren't afraid of playing around with event exclusives to keep things interesting and create hype and excitement. So I think they could have anything planned for SDCC.

I somewhat think Mondo underestimated how pissed people would be with the Akira thing. I don't think they will make that mistake again. We will probably see more things like the Transformers release with more popular titles. That said, I really hope to score tickets for the MMM at the end of August just to be a part of the hype and inevitable let down when it isn't some amazing Stout print released that night.:lol

I'm sure you'll get tickets, squeeze into a packed theater, and watch "Stop, or My Mom Will Shoot."

wonder if it includes films........imagine all the old/current/future films
