I though brightfalls was like a whole open sandbox ..is it all split up into levels then?

Well, I just finished the game and the final is clearly opened for a possible second part: Alan Wake 2

- It Took me about 14 hours to finish, but playing slowly, enjoying the enviroment, graphics and trying to find all the collectibles.

Not sure but that would be pretty awesome wouldn't it? could one of you guys that has finished aswer this for us? please say it's open.

- 6 Chapters in total - Sorry dude, but there is Not option for Playing it as a free sandbox at the end

-Great game, for me, Alan Wake deserves a 9.3 score.

Thanks, Valvoliner! yeah, I expect to play in a similar fashion: take my time, look around etc. I am traditionally a slow gamer, so I expect this to take me a while....

My 360 is totally dead now ..need 2 send it off 4 repair ..still gonna try and get the special edition in the morning if my shop got them in ..im still playing FF13 on the PS3 and with Modnation out soon and red dead out 2maro ..im not 2 annoyed i cant play this game straight away.

Well, on Nightmare difficulty , Alan Wake becomes a real challenge... seriously, I died 3 or 4 times in a row fighting against only 3 or 4 enemies simultaneously... A single failure and you are already dead.
Alan Wake has much less resistance and the enemies are harder and more aggressive

I edited this video last week; This is from the beginning, and shows the first daylight minutes in the game.

The audio speech is in Spanish (castellano- not latino) without subtitles . Not spoilers, but I recommend watch only the first 7 minutes.

The cutscenes are edited videos with the same game engine (and 720p) ,so they are not in real time.
As you can see the lips-sinc is,nt very good (I have tryed the english speech and has the same problem too ).
I read Remedy will fix the Lip-sinc problem with a patch soon

I was playing the game with my 5.1 Home cinema and Sennheiser headphones..and man the sound is simply Terrific, surrounding and incomparable!!

Playing at night, this game reminded me almost the same feeling and atmosphere I felt the first time I played Sillent hill 2, years ago.... but with much better graphics, of course

PS: Play Alan Wake with tv speakers should be considered a crime!

Only on episode 2 but man this game is freakin' me out...

Wandering through the woods with just a flashlight, a couple of flares and the odd bullet or two whilst being chased by axe-weilding maniacs... not good for my nerves

Awesome to heard. I discovered SH 2 about a year or two after it came out, and no came was as creepy or intense. In some ways, no game has really come close.....glad to hear AW is even in the area as that
