I love how all you mental midgets out there can pass judgement from one audio clip. If Alec wants to beat his child severely, it's no one's business but his own. The main reason we have a generation of life devalued mass murderers growing up is because the have no clue activists stick their nose into the business of another's family.

Don't spank your kids...it's sends the wrong message.

NO it doesn't! It teaches kids that there are repercussions to their bad behavior. KUDOS ALEC!!!

Mistakes are fine but when you drag your kids into your own messes you are wrong, Nuff said.

Hmmmmm...sounds to me that that would have been his MISTAKE which he has apologized for....which according to you should not be forgiven because he was reprimanding his child for HER actions...this wasn't about Kim, (though she probably is behind it in some way), this wasn't about HIS MESS, this is about his daughter not doing as she is told. In most divorce cases where there is great animosity between the 2 parents, a phone schedule is set up by the lawyers/mediator/courts....he is holding up his end of the agreement and calling when he is allowed to call and yes that would tick me off as a parent if I felt that I was being disrespected by my kid. He is abiding by the courts wishes and doing everything the way he is supposed to so he can have contact with his daughter yet his daughter is refusing his calls (which she has a right to do if she doesn' want to speak with him) but if Kim is behind it...well then she is BREAKING the law....and yeah..that would kinda piss me off and that would really hurt if I felt that my ex had brainwashed my kid against me and now that kid was being totally rude and disrespectful And I agree with you enough said. I have a feeling I could argue with you about this all day and I have so many better things to do with my time as I am sure you do as well.

I truly hope that you either made a mistake when you typed this or you are going way over the top in an attempt to make some point. If Alec Baldwin or anyone else beats a child severely, it clearly crosses the line from parental discipline to child abuse. It then becomes a crime and crime becomes the province of the governmental authorities.

I get so aggravated that people worry so much about Alec when you do not see the bigger picture. He and Kim are the adults and need to act as such. Being a divorced parent, I have taken a bunch of crap from my ex to keep my children from having to be in the conflict. The adults need to be adults. Keep the kids out of it.

Thanks for proving my point. Discipline is not abuse. It's because of people and attitudes like yours that the non-actions of parents will usher in a new generation that will welcome Armageddon. Hope you went to confession professor, there's no AC in hell.

Obviously you are not a parent. Read a book dummy.

Don't mind Kodiak, hes just having a bad day.

Believe it or not, I actually feel renewed and refreshed...like I stopped a bad habit or something. Weird but I'm not pissed. I guess it's like the people here that canceled some of their orders.

Nope got no children and don't plan to have any, but I'm glad you feel you know me well enough to pass comment on people like me.

There may be no AC in hell, but hopefully there's a pretty good sauna and I might catch some rays whilst I'm down there.

People can say what they like that's why it's called a forum and a free world, grow up and stop acting like a jerk about it.

I just said that I was a parent you moron. Do you want my address now?

Sorry, I don't go for that same sex thing. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Try another forum that caters to alternate lifestyles.

Kodiak...are you trying to go down in a flame of glory today like Shai?

You seem to be on a rampage today based on the thread that's been deleted.

Are you trying to get kicked out of this board on purpose?

Plus I'll probably be there, some good soild Who discussions. And Kevin Smiths mum is steadfast in her belief that he is going there as well.

We live in a society and part of that are laws which we must obey or risk the penalty of the law if we do not. Children are viewed as too small to care for themselves so parents have responsibilities to care for them. If they go too far and damage their children, or as you put it "severely beat" them, then it is not a concern of mine, or yours, but a concern of the law. The law exists for all of us and for the social good and welfare of the community and individuals who compose it.

Are you actually saying that a parent or legal gaurdian can do anything to a child under their control and it is not anyones business?

Do you understand the concept of society and law?

Do you understand why we have laws?

Do you understand that children are under the care and protection of parents and there are limits to how far a parent can go in disciplining their child?

Do you understand that child abuse is a real and prevailing problem in society?

Or are your statements based on some unusual pseudo-idealistic political extremism which may have some basis in theory but ignores real life?
