The jaw looks fantastic, it's nice when you have to look that close to find out how it opens and closes!! I can't wait to see better pics....

Cool to have a Alien collectible that I can afford as well.... All the cool ones so far have been too steep for my taste. :horror

Yeah, rubber wrapped gums would almost be too good to be true so I'll just be happy with a 16" guy to wreak havoc on my Marines. Can't wait to pose Apone chomping that cigar with the big guy hanging over him...

or better yet, face to face, yiiikes!

"What are we supposed to do, use harsh language?"

Pop quiz: Someone name the "forgotten" Marine who said that.

ps 500th post!

Frost.

I just watched it again last night for the umpteenth time. I'm trying to push myself off the fence. It's not going to take much more.

Oh man you beat me to it! :lol

He was also carrying the magazines during their fateful trip.... the bag that ended up on fire and exploding, only making the Marines day THAT much worse.

I still love that scene though, they really amped up the tension and without showing that much. Masterfully done. :D

Thanks! I don't think I would have known if I hadn't just watched it. :lol There are actually a few others that get forgotten. Pvt. Wierzbowski, anyone? (I had to look up the spelling on that one!) Considering how many Marines there were, I think Cameron did a great job of not making anyone feel superfluous. (I knew how to spell that.)

I agree, The thing that makes the Marines so much more memorable than any other gaggle of military types in whatever various space film. It's the character that Cameron put into these guys. Each one had something going for him, even the ones who were not being acted by well known actors. You root for them and you don't want to see them die, and you can't say the same thing about the other movies with "Space Marines" in them....

I still want Hot Toys to make a Hudson. He was my favorite. Reminds me of myself when I was in the military... A wise-crackin' Jackass!!! :lol

Yeah, he's probably the last one Batty, most everyone got lines though and Spunkmeier and Ferro went together like peanut butter and jelly...

I can't believe I'm about to watch Robocop 2 but it is truly an underrated film, that creepy kid still gets me and Tom Noonan as Cain (tooth fairy from Manhunter) was great. Directed by the man who many say (me included) Directed the greatest Star Wars film of all...

sorry, not related but it is a fan fave 80s franchise too!

George Lucas directed Robocop 2? :rotfl

I forgot that Kershner directed Robo 2. It's been a long time since I've watched it. I'll be watching the Aliens supplemental disc a little later.

Long time for me too, great action sequences in Robo 2. Aliens supplemental (if you're talking the Dir Cut Coll Edition) is incredible, a must have.

I've never seen all of Robocop 2... I know its sad. I love the first movie, and tried to watch the 3rd (big mistake). But for some reason I always miss 2 when its on, and never get the gumpshun to rent it.

Robot Cain is insane, great final battle scene and the creepy precocious kid is a drug lord who looks like Harry Connick Jr. There is a scene that has Elvis' robbed corpse in a glass tomb as the ultimate collectors item, it's nuts. Kershner did a really great job, let's face it, he knows how to do robots and cyborgs!

Definitely worth checking out. Phil Tippett did the animation sequences Story by Frank Miller

Yeah, the Quadrilogy is one of the best box sets ever. I never get tired of watching the extras. I also have the Alien Legacy set. I can't imagine any more extras when they release these in HD.

Can't imagine Cameron left much on the table, but maybe some of the others will have some "never before seen" stuff.

Marines are one day from landing in Hollywood!

Wor-Gar, you should be getting yours today, right?

Okay, I have had a loooong week, and only been on long enough to catch up on a few topics, so forgiveness if this idea is late to the party. I got the HT Predators on a whim, and these are some of the best toys I have ever owned, so I ordered the Marines. Hicks and Vasquez arrived last week, and again exceeded all of my expectations. I am really excited about the new Predator and Alien kits, and can only assume that Ripley isn't too far behind. Do you think it might be feasible that Hot Toys has an Alien Queen in pipeline, along the lines of ED-209? I would gladly pay $250.00 for a poseable model of the Queen!

An ALIEN QUEEN would be about 3 feet tall in 1/6th scale and certainly a lot more than $250 if someone were to do it.

I seriously doubt your dream of a HT Alien Queen will come to pass. But keep dreaming.

I also just got my two preds from Fireside (thanks!) and they are indeed awesome! Easily the best 1/6 action dollies I own, right up there with Medicom's Vader.
Incidentally, anyone know if Fireside will carry the alien and new preds?
About the Queen in 1/6... actually, I don't think it would be impossible to do her majesty. Keep in mind that these are "model-kits" and come unassembled. Seeing as the queen has no extensive "accesories", all the space in the box could be left to the queen herself. It would still be a pretty big box, but not unmanegeable.

It probably ins't very likely, but I would have said the same about Sideshow getting the Star Wars License two years ago...
I even thought about picking up the Palisades statue, as the prices seem to be dropping, and she is sorta in-scale, but I wouldn't want to get something that isn't poseable. I picked up a McFarlane Grid Alien to go with the Predators on ebay about two weeks before the Hot Toys announcement about their Alien kit, so I wouldn't want to fork over money again for something mediocre if something that is spectacular is on the horizon!

I had a Cave Troll for a while, Sauron is two feet tall, and it wouldn't be much taller than a PF figure, so while it would be huge, it wouldn't be beyond reason...heck some folks have 1:1 scale Terminators even...
