Hey Batty, is this the HT Warrior?
I'm not positive, but it looks like it. Especially this head shot:

I found these on the wonderfuland.net site from Hong Kong. I also found a cool Bruce Wayne shot. I'll post it in the Batman thread.

Those are beautiful shots, hope it's the HT coz I P.O.'d one from Alter Ego, btw, the HT Warrior has already "crawled" its way to #3 on the SSC chart..

To tell the truth, I'm on the fence about it. I would really like an Alien from the first two movies, but this might have to do until they come out with one of those. If they come out with one of those! I have a feeling I'll end up pulling the trigger. I'll probably end up with non-buyers remorse if I don't.

Someone push me off the fence!

I was too, then bit

I think I just may have also helped push Wor-Gar over the fence, it's the tongue! Seriously that and for the same reasons you expressed. I need one of these guys to pose with my Marines UNTIL HT or someone else puts one out...

Anf if and when they do, I'll either just keep him or dump him... but you know, you just know with Ripley and Drake coming out another Aliens Alien will come out, don't even care because the warrior Alien is very close to those in Aliens. Gonna use armor-all wipes to slime him up for posing...

btw re: Hicks, just need to see HT Hicks in hand, again not a perfect sculpt and nowhere near the FL sculpt... but he may just do for now...

Here's a shot of HT Hicks in full gear pulled from Michael Crawford's archives

This is what I'm on the fence about now...

I still have to think about it. I didn't get the Marines because, even though they look cool as hell, I'm afraid of how expensive the whole line might end up being. I will get Ripley without a doubt. I'm also hoping to see them do Bishop.

I know if they did all seven crew members of the Nostromo, I'd be all over them.

Yeah, I have Hicks coming, plan on getting Ripley and the Alien to go along with it. Now if they would just make Hudson and Bishop I would be happy.

Or just give us a few Nostromo crewmen....:D

That's why I've passed on them. Ripley, Bishop and Newt. That's who I want.

For the Alien fence sitting, I'd like to point out that this guy seems to be a hybrid of the AvP and the Geiger alien. The dome is translucent and the back pipes are Geiger design or inspired by. I also suspect that the head is slightly larger than in AvP. And while I haven't researched it it seems that there was a CGI Alien and a man-in-suit in that movie and this guy seems to be the more bug like CGI.

But the thing to think about is whether you want a collection of Aliens or only one or two. There's every reason to believe that 2007 will see the issue of either the Geiger Alien or the Alien 2 bug (and probably the remaining Alien released in subsequent years). So you gotta ask yourself how many of which Aliens you want for your collection. A small number of Alien 2 critters to face Ripley? One from each of the first two films? Or a bunch of Aliens so you can show off the evolution or just create a strengh-in-numbers pose? My gut says, unless you want a bunch of Aliens, it's probably best to hold off so you can get exactly what you want.

Personally I'd like enough Aliens to create an Evolutionary chart of them. :lol Also the fact that this Alien is more idealized than the rubber suits appeals to me as well.

I would really like one definitive Giger Alien. I agree about the AvP alien looking like a hybrid between Giger's and the Aliens version. I like the head with the transparent dome, but wish it didn't have the duck feet and four fingered hands. Overall I think it's a nice looking figure. I think I still have some time to think about it.

I've noticed that no one's mentioned a Carter Burke figure. No love for skinny tie wearin' Paul Reiser? :lol

I beleive the eggs are the packaging of the smaller scale Snap-kits.

Hopefully that's an indication that SSC will sell the smaller HT Snap-Kits. I'd love to get my hands on a "decloaking" Predator from Series 2!!

The AvP alien is the same as the A:R alien, except for legs/feet.

No Marines for me today. UPS has rescheduled my delivery because the guys on the truck want to play with them a little longer.

Or they never made it out of the APC!

This is the FIRST UPS delay I have ever had. I was very excited to get my marines today. Very sad, because I had alloted today as Marine Day.

Oh well...at least I'm getting Hicks, Vasquez and Apone all together.

I'll post pix when they arrive -- box pix as it might take me thru the weekend to actually put them all together. Hang in there Mikey, I'll put Apone together first :)

One more thing...

With the new HT ALIEN, can anyone confirm that he has a rubber encased jaw to allow his mouth to open? I have carefully analyzed the available pictures and it looks like that might be the case. If he's rubberized, then I'm in!

It's a long way from Hong Kong my friend, almost there. Can't wait to see your great shots and poses, especially with the kitchen range grills? :D

Also putting a S.O.S. out there for anyone who can help me put these together coz I am all thumbs. Marines here Friday...

On the HT Warrior Jaw, so hard to tell but some shots do indicate the jaw is hinged, guess we won't know until someone swings by the HT booth @ SDCC and checks it out where we should also see pics of you know who, our Lucky Star!

The jaw is definitely articulated, as these photos show. That's the good news. I've zoomed into some of the SS pix and it looks as if the teeth are one piece with the jaw/chin being a rubber or plastic piece set over the teeth and gums. You can see it in the first picture above.

Anyway, if that's the case or something even close, that's very cool indeed.

If you look at the last 2 pics on the sideshow order page you will see one shot with jaw clenched (closed) and the last pic jaw open...

Yeah, I didn't mean to say that the teeth were one piece -- they clearly open and close. I meant that the articulated "gums/teeth" seem to be covered by a "rubber" molded chin...at least it looks that way.

However it works, I'll bet its cool. It helps make the price a little more digestiable to me.

Wow, well you know what a stickler for acuracy Howard is over at HT, wouldn't surprise me in the least

The jaw looks fantastic, it's nice when you have to look that close to find out how it opens and closes!! I can't wait to see better pics....

Cool to have a Alien collectible that I can afford as well.... All the cool ones so far have been too steep for my taste. :horror
