Thanks guys!

Btw, anyone planning to get the HT AVP Grid Alien? I saw the proto pics and I am wondering whether it comes with the face hugger...

The Blister exclusive does.

I will be getting the Grid Alien myself, and I am pretty sure it comes with a face hugger. I could be wrong, but I think it does.

For those interested toys2.net (Canadian dealer) will be having a limited quantity of the GRID ALIEN availible. They're quite reliable as I got an ALIEN from them myself.

Anyone else got any of the AvP/ALIENS Hot Toys Snap Kits?

I don't have any of those Minis, but those regular warriors look GREAT!
Those domes look so much better, even with brain showing (it's supposed to be a scale-like covering over the brain...), than the larger HT ones with the brownish color effect. Thanks for that pic!

Thanks Les!I've seen a bunch of your Alien stuff and it's fantastic.

I grew up on GI Joe and got back into collecting it a few years ago so the 1:18 (3 3/4'') scale still appeals to me. I just had to get the snap-kit figures.

That's a great shot, Bardoon!
I see you got the Microman Elder next to his HT double.

I gotta take some better shots of mine. Here's one I posted in the Pred thread.

Looks like a bad day to be a Predator Elder!!!! :lol

Not bad, but I want to see the whole body design. The rumors about them going back to ALIENS drone "crested" head design are true.

The Predators are also supposed be "sleeker", less heavy duty gear like AvP and more in design like Predator 1. This shot here definitely shows that, even his plasmacaster looks smaller.

I can't wait to see them all.

Nice pics yourself gdb! My old Alien vs. Predator set-up (as seen in the photos here) were in a similar "last stand" theme. They have all since moved to a shiny new Ikea DETOLF glass case.

Some more AvP snap-kit fun!

I like the detail of the HT Snap-Kit Preds but I just love the overall look and poseability of the Takara Microman Predators (if you were lucky to not get one that broke out of the box on you). I hope if Microman continues on that they'll do some AvP2 figures.

How many snap-kit Aliens you got, gdb?Did you get the ALIENS snap-kits too with the marines and drones?

Cool new pic!
Yeah, I wanna see more! The Pred looks pretty on....standard Pred 1 look.
Alien looks thinner somewhat...smaller....
As long as they work well and look great on film.

I can't say on the Alien. It looks funky, but there's not much shown. I like how they're bringing back the ridges. I like the Predator, I hated the big buff ones in AvP. Hopefully their faces look better. Oh, and I like the Predator's skin color.

I'm not liking that alien very much...
The only change seems to be the ridged head, otherwise it seems to have the same stupid bio-look of the typical ADI alien. Ugh.
I bet that silly middle-aged bearded man with a few pounds to spare (Woodruff, is it?) is inside the suit again...
Why can't they get a tall, thin stunt man to do that? As a matter of fact, why not get a basketball player? They are very athletic, very tall, and look lanky as hell (well, some of them at least).
Anyone, just not Woodruff.
Argh! There go my hopes of a good looking alien on film! The toys should be nice though.

I never tracked down the Aleins Snap-kits. I got the AvP series 2 box for the queen then I found Toys2 had singles from AvP series 1 at a reasonable price so I got a bunch of different aliens and the rest of the Predators.

They're great fun but very high mantainance, I've found.

I really like how you've posed the alien flying through the air like that. How many snap-kit, Microman have you got?

Because they got the tall, lanky, former basketball player in the Predator suit instead! :D

Ian Whyte played SCAR and all the other Preds in single "alone" shots. He'll also play the Preds in AvP2. I suppose he's taking up Kevin Peter Hall's mantle.

gdb, I got about 15 AvP Aliens...a mix of what I got from my complete set of AvP Series 2 and various eBay buys of Aliens in AvP Series 1. I got the complete set of AvP Microman figures which are awesome but brittle (Takara used a hard, but easy to break plastic on these guys...big mistake). I got a few MOC around as well.

I got the ALIENS set as well from ActionHQ. There should be complete ones availible on eBay as well as single figures but just to warn you that the Colonial Marines are harder to find/more expensive.

I know what you mean when you say these guys are high maintenance. AvP Series 1 & 2 Aliens were not constructed so well and broke easily. I'd say about 3-4 of my AvP Aliens have parts superglued to them because the little ball-joints snapped off. Thankfully, Hot Toys recognized this mistake and rectified it as well as using a harder and more durable plastic for the ALIENS snap-kit figures.

But your figures will still hurt after putting a lot of them together! :monkey2

They already made her. I have her and she does mesh well with the 1:18 scale figures...a 1:6 scale Alien Queen will be huge.

She was a "Build-a-Figure" and pieces of her were placed with all the figures from AvP Snapkit Series 2.
