So, is the PL up for pre-order anywhere else?

Reinhardt said:Does anyone have pics of the McFarlane 12" Alien next to a Hot Toys one? I want to see size differences.
Thanks!
Reinhardt said:awesome, thanks abake!! in your opinion, is the hot toys alien miles ahead of the McF one?
Another problem I have is that the joints in the legs are extremely lose. The thing keeps toppling over. But I agree, it's an amazing value.abake said:Well, it's hard to compare... after all, the McF figure was 25 bucks.
It's funny, but the McF alien has more articulation points than the HT one, but they're not very well placed, so they don't help much.
Let me put it this way: it's an excellent figure, and for 25 dollars it's a steal! Even for 30-40 bucks it's a good price.

Reinhardt said:that's true. I guess I'm trying to know if the hot toys figures are really worth the value. i'm getting the Aliens figure anyway, but 35 bucks to 130$ is a huge difference. is it really worth the price difference?

abake said:Well, once you have the figure in hand and you feel just how cool it is, all thoughts of price disappear...
Now, if only McF had stayed with the original prototype sculpt... To me it's still one of the most beautiful and accurate renditions of Giger's original.
I was so sorry to see it changed.
The pred was a lot better as well.
I wish Tankman, the sculptor of the original prototype could work again on a figure of the alien, his work was just superb!
Reinhardt said:tru dat! i mean, with ED, i didn't think once about the price once i had the fig in hand.
too bad that the prototype differed so much from the final product. dangit, hot toys, do an original Alien for crying out loud!!
