Well I've heard of someone using points to get a Medi figure with their points and it seems to have worked, though the item was in stock, so I figured I'd give it a try, that's why I was asking, the warrior is in stock and my points would make it roughly half price so I wanted some feedback from you guys. As for the high quality pictures, thanks for posting the figure images, I actually meant film/prop images, but I'll take high quality copies of the figures too :)
 
Why don't you go ahead and try to use your points on the Alien and let us know if they work. If they do then I have some serious shopping to do. :lol
 
Simple my friend..... just sell your points, then use the cash to buy more Hot Toys.

Hurricane on Converting Ripley's Flamethrower to function:

oops what have i started, hope youve got home insurance, but seriously something like a collibri electronic lighter, would have a tiny fuel tank,electronic ignition too, not sure how youd 'turn it up once ignited' but not impossible, maybe have the flame unit made from metal, with some sort of heat resistant seperator to prevent the whole thing melting .....
 
Oh man,I don't remember seeing those pics of the drone!It looks awesome!

I hope Hot Toys releases a blue highlight version of it as a variant or exclusive or something.
 
 
Damn! Those are some great repaints! Did you repaint Ripley's face entirely or did you just paint the hair, eyes, lips and eyebrows? Your Drake is on par with Les'. Thanks for sharing those.

Used Citadel Paints on Ripley and Drake.

Ripley
Hair - Base paint with Scrorched Brown then use a black to paint the majority
Face - used elve flesh then drybrush cheek with drawfern flesh
Eye - Just carefully painted over the blue iris with scorched brown

Drake
Hair - Base paint with bright yellow then went over with vomit brown
Face - Elven flesh then bronze flesh

LEs' is the master, just a rookie who cant stand the moustach man. Drake is really a great sculpt. As for moustach, just paint over, no sandpapering required.
 
For a rookie you paint like a pro. Did you go over Ripley's eyeliner and remove the eyelashes? Those are some very fine lines to paint around the eyes or did you keep what was already there? Man, that looks jus like Sigourney.

The eyeliner is the original. I just carefully paint away the barbie lashes and kept it simple. You should try it!

Even if you are more into the original Alien design, like me, the AvP Aliens are worth buying, because they look sweet, and they are hmmm... a step in the Alien evolution, if you like. So, if you're a die hard fan, you HAVE to have them. After all, it's not the AvP Aliens fault that the AvP movie sucked :D!! The design still is nice, not as good as the Aliens Alien, but that perhaps is also a matter of taste. If I would have known that HT would bring out an Aliens Alien, I wouldn't have bought both AvP Aliens, just the brown one. If that one still is available, you should go for that one. It looks much better that the black Alien, and besides that, the ES might be a bit lower. Anyway, internationally it's more rare than the black version.
 
A little OT here...

Has anyone got their Ripley and CM's from Fireside?
I wrote Bob a while ago and he said they'd be going out a couple of weeks ago, but nothing's showing at my doorstep, and he hasn't answered since...

Now, I trust him completely, but I just wanted to know if anyone else is still waiting for theirs.

EDIT: Nevermind, just got notice that my marines and Ripley are already shipping over here!

You'll be happy Bro... check out the new detailing on Drake's Smart gun and Ripley's tracker, it now has a little screen (I'm swapping it with Hicks')

what's the difference in the trackers again? i didn't notice any difference.
