Here's some info that Neny Dee posted about the Big Chap bust and other upcoming Coolprops goodies on Facebook earlier today. I'm really looking forward to the Big Chap bust, but also the Wolf and Elder busts! Great news for Alien/Predator fans! :)

Thanks for the post - great news all-round! :yess:

.

very happy to listen that the bust will look exactely than the proto but, it should have chromed teeth. coolprops confirmed it some time ago. thanks again!! can't wait:)

This big chap head coming from production molds is something they should be touting more, that's a hell of bonus right there. I thought it was a new sculpt, although I would love to know how or why the chin looks different.
Being from movie molds and the HRGiger estate license does explains the price increase. I bet they (HRGmuseum) get good money for every head sold and I don't mind the premium for a head with lineage to the original. This is probably going to be the grail of Chap heads. I'm curious if the owner of Coolprops owns the molds or did the estate give him access to it. If its from the estate I bet that probably added some serious cost. "hey, can I pour some resin in that original mold" lol Also having this displayed in the museum says a lot about it to me.

Haha yes, you are right! The same as the prototype but with chrome teeth! :D

If they can actually get the production pieces to looks as good or better than the proto, then I won't have a problem with the price.

I'm not sure of the history of the source for this. The original looked like a scratch build to me and not molded. If it was molded it's been altered and refined which in a way is fine (I wish the HCG bust had been fine tuned) but getting things wrong like the teeth and jaw tendons after they were right is unnecessary.
Somehow this piece has gone from this

That incisor needs correcting

Aww man, I really miss that version that had the inner jaw sticking out. I know they had to rework the dome, so they obviously thought the teeth needed changing too. I'm assuming that the mould wouldn't have the dome attached so that's probably the reason for them working on it themselves. Not sure about the teeth though.

It's a damn shame what happened to the mouth! On a sife note, to save finding and bumping the thread, did the P2 bust by Coolprops ever have a production number thrown out or is it an open ES?

I don't recall an ES.
I think the most we ever got out of Coolprops is that it was limited. They were very vague about it.

Did anyone order all five Alien heads? I never liked the Alien Resurrection newborn, but does it break up the set! Lol

Lol. I'm not sure what's easier to ignore, Alien Resurrection or the 1200$ prop replica it spawned.

No. If I had 'that' kind of money to burn, just the first two and possibly the runner. My adoration of the first 2 films is almost total. Alien 3 is more so on the concept of the runner and how it built on the xenomorph physiology. Resurrection brought nothing to the table IMHO.

Still tempted by this, but man... 1800 just doesn't make sense. I have some super rare, custom busts that I wouldn't value at that price.

It does look cool though!

I suspect the Prime Giger statue will be close to the same price, so I'm gonna wait for that. CP doesn't have the track record for the dough.
