The SS 1/4 scale Alien statues usually have a removable tail, base and arms. The Queen bust had a removable head along w/ her arms and back spikes. I think the Dog had just the removable tail and base, if I'm not mistaken. I don't really remember, b/c it's been awhile since I've taken them apart.

By the looks of it, I would say that it would be safe to assume that Big Chap's Base, tail and right arm will be removable at the least.

Yep, just the base & tail but as a result it came in one of the biggest boxes i've ever seen a collectible come in.

I don't want another box that size with the big chap please Sideshow.

Stop with the mowing lawns! In the UK hardly anyone pays for that. Its not a job people do over here its a American thing. We pay gardeners to do everything in our gardens over here. Not just some someone who wants to make money. Plus its winter so meh.

So I decided to give in and purchase this piece. I don't own any Sideshow Alien stuff and am a huge fan of the Alien franchise. If there is a piece I'm going to own in 1/4 scale I figure it should be this, despite the price. So I had my local comic shop order this for me. He always gives me a huge discount and barely makes a profit on the pieces I buy. Also traded some stuff in for store credit. In the end the peice will cost me $300 out of pocket. Now the bigger problem: how do I sneak this past my wife? And will she notice it standing in the middle of the living room? Makes me wonder.

I know right? The Dog Maquette box was huge!! I had some trouble bringing it through the door! I had to drag it on the ground to get it through, lol

I still haven't gotten rid of the box yet. The box art looks too nice to be just thrown away like garbage. I might eventually get rid of the bulky styrofoam and just fold up the box when i need more space for more Alien statues like the Queen Dio w/ egg sack. Now imagine the size of that box!

Just tell her what the original price was and that should (in theory) do the trick. Lordy, only $300... that's an amazing deal. Wish my LCS owner was cool enough to accept trades.
