Just got this incredible figure in hand and I am scared to death this rubber suit of his won't last more than 3-5 years. My rubber Doctor Doom mask from years ago became hard and ended up cracking into pieces. My Kenner Movie Spider-Man 12" figure with removable rubber mask is now starting to crack and crumble to a point where I won't even dare try to fit it over Toby's head anymore. Dallas' suit looks to be made with the same type of rubber. What a shame if this great figure starts to deteriorate in a few years. :monkey2

Any thoughts?

Is there something that can be rubbed on the rubber to keep it from becoming hard and... wait, that sounds bad, but you know what I mean.

Is there really something to be rubbed on this? God, all this detail, incredible work of art, it's gonna be gone soon...

I've had rubber figures in a cool environment for over 3 years and there still perfect from what I can see. I know alot don't recommend armor all but maybe once every 6 months a dab of it wouldn't hurt. Maybe someone should contact hot toys and ask them direct.

Is it the same rubber on the torso of the blue/black Aliens warrior? The paint job on that one starts peeling off a bit if you move the body around too much when posing the figure.

The limey fruit dog is wrong:D! Armor All is not good for figs. Just protect the fig by displaying it in a moist and relatively cool room without sunlight. your fig will be just fine then.

thats a new one :lol ive never had a problem with my alien :rock but i know alot of u have and armor all "apparantly" helps. like the dane said keep away from sunlight. i think HT needs to sort this problem out, it just isnt exceptable :monkey3

Does anyone even have a moist room? How does one moisten (should that be moisturise?) their room??

Do I have to keep watered plants in my display cabinet with all my figs??!!! :naughty

not a good sign then !. It would be a real shame if they did deteriorate. Only time will tell I guess. I will just keep the blind down and open the window when I can I guess.

Give it a spray of this. :lol

^^^ I might seriously consider that; put a plant or two in my display case.
