We're clearly about to have a nerd argument as we disagree lol, but I'd say the big chap is sleeker and curvier, the warrior always looked more functional to me. I like both and will buy both.... but the big chap will sit pride of place on my pc desk next to the P1 lsb
Haha, don't worry, I don't think the argument will last too long since we're both looking to get both anyway!
I think it's just a difference of opinion...or even taste, as to what we prefer! While I love how both look, the Warrior has always had this appeal to me...mainly because Aliens was the first one I saw growing up, and the image below has stuck with me since then!
This scene alone made the Warrior the Xenomorph that I became infatuated with. While Big Chap is awesome in his own right, with the human skull looking at you subtly, I loved how much we got to see the Aliens in the sequel. That's one of the main reasons I loved Resurrection a ways back; because the Aliens were so visible throughout and I just love their look overall. Usually they're hidden in the shadows (which, yes, is a great part of their appeal! But I do love seeing them
)
I won't knock Big Chap at all though! If he lands in the same ballpark, I'll be doing all I can to get both of these guys in my collection! Hopefully they wait a year (which I'd see them doing anyway) and make the third and fourth versions, as that'd be a really fun set to own!
... Hope not
I'm leaning towards Warrior.
Head on, Which will be the only way I can display, it looks much better imo.
I totally agree that the Warrior has a much better frontal display at the moment! His mouth is fantastic, especially with its inner mouth more exposed. I'm glad they mixed it up between them though, and have Big Chap's within the teeth. Again, a few minor tweaks on Big Chap's teeth and he'll be superb as well!
Much more impressive head on, Warrior.
I'm even getting sucked into the nameplate, get it much sooner as well.
I hate this hobby
The nameplate is a must! It's matches the piece and the film perfectly! I highly recommend you give in and pick up the nameplate! I think it's less of a "This is what movie this is from" and more of a companion piece that really brings it together. It'll work and look just as nice if you don't get it, but with the option there, might as well!
