Yours looks nice enough to begin with HT2K. Mine has awful QC, I begrudged keeping it for a long time. But after the farce of the Big Chap lsb, it has grown on me. I've fixed the teeth up for starters (Going to do more down the line) And I have it displayed up high away from me, as long as I don't get too close to the point where I start to see all of the chips and scratches it looks pretty damn awesome.... Really cool in fact!

It has a killer sculpt, imo. Genosha's repaint really shows that off. The only thing that seems bad on all of them is the paint choice for the teeth. Very flat silver. Anyone who can add shading for the gaps, make it look more metallic, and add some distress, can make a huge improvement and take this bust to home plate.

Compared to BC the teeth are a triumph. Yeah, that's not hard to better.

I tried to Google "Big Chap bad teeth" and the best two results were actually photos you posted right here on Freaks.

This begs the question: Sup with that, Sideshow? Seriously? Did they all injure their hands painting the Warriors?

Looks like Cains has a chipped tooth.

I'll get mine outside for some decent pictures soon. Alclad always, always looks better in person, but this shows it off okay, they are infinitely better than they were before. And can't even be compared to the Big chaps.

Made a little before and after, not the best pictures but you can see the difference. Notice also how the factory painted the teeth blue in some areas, it isn't hard to mask thongs off...

Thanks. :)

I'm colour blind which can be a problem. I don't think they're quite right yet.

I glossed the hell out of her too.

Tam...umm X-22 clear. Can find it in hobby shops. Dead easy to do. Someone fill in the name for me. I may have to google it.

I love Tamiya paints personally, although they are much more suited to airbrushing from my experience. Matching paint is always difficult. Fortunately, it probably makes sense for the tendons to be a slightly different shade so I won't be worrying to much about it when I do it. The harder part will be trying to cover up the chips and scratches.

Does anyone here know of a decent display case I can get just to house this? You know, a base with a clear case sized just right?

You may have to go custom if you want a fitted one? It is probably worth it after the repaint tbh.

Aye, I've found a site that do custom cases, looks like it's gonna come to £105 for one the right size :gah:

If I don't want it boxed away though I'll have to get one, I have the dustiest place in the universe.

Some ideas for the tendons. I looked throughout this thread for the best photos to use, and these were the best I found. I credited collectorcol in the photos. Lemme know if you'd rather I used something else; I'll have them off in a jiff.

A unified, dark color. Blend 'em in.

Darken the edges, then maybe use something to just darken the yellow.

Dark edges and a sort of white in the center. A heavy gradient. Looking at the pics of the movie costumes, the tendons [to me] look like white webbing.

That desert camo version shows off great blending.

Obviously would probably want different colors, but the effect/blend is a must.

Those look really well blended. The whole "clip on tendons" effect is very well concealed. For me, unfortunately, I'll have to stick with simpler effects that can be achieved with a small brush or a cheapo airbrush.
