Alien 3 The Gun did a decent job of capturing the feel of Aliens.

Nope. I have no interest in the Superman universe, or the ET universe.

I'm not even a big gamer. So on that, ACM is the worst game I've ever had to play. Half of that comes from it being an Aliens game. If it wasn't, I wouldn't hate it so much.

Hicks. Why is this in spoiler tags. Everyone knows this. Apparently Weyland-Yutani boarded the Sulaco at some point and kidnapped Hicks, replacing him with a random person. For no reason whatsoever. And they didn't see Ripley sleeping the whole two-four feet away.

Just watched that review as well and one thing that stood out to me was the aliens' AI in the demo footage he showed. I never paid much attention to the demos but holy ****, they acted so realistic. Staying on the ceilings and walls, maneuvering very fast and intelligently, etc. Now I'm even more disappointed. That would have been amazing. How the hell did they go from such excellent AI to this?

Also, I seem to remember the explosion being so powerful in Aliens that it created a blinding light and caused the dropship to shake vigorously after being several miles above the Atmosphere Processor....

If you've watched any of the interviews with the Gearbox/Sega guys over the past few years, you'll notice they throw out subtle insults to Alien 3 and won't shut up about how ACM is the "true sequel to Aliens".

Well how'd that work out for those morons.

This has to be the second worst game I've ever played since Duke Nukem Forever. What ever happened to the creative minds of the 21st century? They really hyped this game up with all their marketing and fake screenshots prior to the release date. What a rude and pathetic way to get everyone excited.
