Wow, I've missed a lot since last night.

Okay, my turn.

Key work "toy gun". The Pred checked it.

He is. That's why he's the tracker who sees what other's don't.

Leona said it right after that scene: "He's messing with you, Mike, you've got to be careful."

No evidence of that. The artificially generated "living" field idea is most plausible. Still a huge plot hole to allow for a new CG villain, really.

What?:banghead We've seen endos do everything without muscle. That's just camouflage. Muscle has nothing to with anything else. And the voice must be artificially created without using flesh. That's the only way it would be able to sample and replicate any voice it needed.

Without skin in T1, it has no need to communicate verbally because it isn't fooling anybody anymore, and the target is still close, and there aren't any people's voices it can use then to fool them in the empty factory either. If the target is in sight, it doesn't need to ask for directions. It doesn't make coversation for the hell of it.

The T-Arnold in TS used Kyle's voice cause John would come to help HIM, not Marcus.

The mouth may not still move in endo form if it spoke, but it just might because it would be programmed to immitate a human speaking when it talked. Think of that stupid singing fish. Its mouth would still move if you took its skin off. Same idea. All we know from TS is that we didn't see it's mouth move because it stopped talking by the time the camera was on it.

Eggs, really?! If we assume the egg thing is right, why no evidence. If it disintigrated, why didn't the T1 end up pure endo, or Kyle end up totally disintigrated? Duh:duh Living tissue generates helps generate the field. It doesn't get obliterated by it, obviously. Think, McFly, think.

The sphere shape we see would just be the shape of the time displacement chamber the time traveller would be in. We don't actually see the melting chamber in T2 because the machine is functioning perfectly. In T3, it perhaps wasn't quite as refined, or more likely, the creative team for the movie thought it would look cooler. No eggs. Come on.

Calm down dude!

I was only speculating man! No need to pull my pants down and spank in front of the forum! And why can't desintergrate at a set temperature? If they can make liquid metal men and women why not a flesh bag that can dissolve or burn up? Maybe it burns at a lower temperature than real skin? Dude, you used to be cool.....

ALIENS:

Why did Apone let Hicks keep his shotgun?

TERMINATOR 2:

Why didn't the T-800 kill the bar patrons that attacked him at the start when the T1 T-800 did kill the punks who also attacked him?

Remember the T2 T-800 had not been ordered to not kill anyone at this stage.

Aliens: Because Hicks didn't hold up the shotgun and yell, "Hey, at least I still have my SHOTGUN!"

T2: Only kills as it needs to. Each threat is met with just enough force needed to eliminate it. It's not a thrill killer.

ALIENS:

In Ripley's case-hearing in the boardroom were The Company execs and Van Lewen lying about having no knowledge of the Alien? Or were they ones who just didn't know?

I got the same feeling, the genrally did'nt seem to know. But AVP-R declares other wise. Ofcourse we all beleive AVP-R other Aliens:cool:

The Alien info was for specific eyes only (Ash), and those eyes weren't always even given full information (Dallas). Lawyers aren't going to know much about the bio weapons devision of Weyland Yutani. They wouldn't be loose with info if they did.

ALIEN 3:

How did Narcissuss flight recording from Alien wind up on Fury 161 or was it in actual fact just there as a kind of narration for the end scene?

TERMINATOR SALVATION:

1) Why is Sarah Connor's tape recording to John different to the one we see her make at the end of T1????????
2) In T2 John says he knows he'll meet his dad when he about 40. So why in TS does he meet him when he's about 33?
3) If Marcus is a super-advanced infiltration unit then how come the T-800 is less advanced even though it was made AFTER him?
4) Gen. Ashdown refers to Connor as the prophisised saviour of mankind. WHO prophesised this? Connor himself? Why would anyone listen to one man who appopints himself as THE saviour????

A3 flight recorder: just used for effect, but if you must rationalize it, the system may have been picking up a stray signal echoing through space.

Sarah's recording: It should have been the same. No reason for McG to change it. The other recording could still have been different, perhaps recorded later in her life.

John's meeting of Kyle early is an alternate timeline issue created by the events of T2.
Same issue with the Marcus prototype. Alternate timeline.

Prophisied Savior: who the ^^^^ knows.

TERMINATOR SALVATION:
5) Why didn't Reese say the T-600 was EIGHT feet tall, never mind "they had rubber skin"!!!!??
6) Why do Terminators throw Connor around instead of just putting a fist thru a chest like in T1?

THE TERMINATOR:
Why does the T-800 ask the gunstore clerk for a "phased plama rifle in 40 watt range"? Isn't his CPU smart enough to remember he's only in 1984????

TERMINATOR 2:
1) How can anyone travel back in time again in T2 when Reese already said in T1 that the time displacment equipment was destroyed after he was sent thru so no one could follow?
2) How come a melting sphere surrounds the subject once they arrive in the past when it didn't in T1?

T-600s being big: Alternate timeline changed design of everything, including little differences on the T-800.

Throwing John: That was a break of character for the sake of action. It was cool to watch, but a complete waste of time for a Terminator.

Plasma Rifle: No good answer for that. Maybe that was the Term's fave gun, but it should have known it wouldn't be available. That's just Cameron giving hints to the future since we still don't know yet that it's from the future.

Destroyed time equipment: Cameron ^^^^ed up his own story to create a sequel. But, since he did, maybe the techs discovered something else after Kyle had gone through, so they couldn't blow it yet.

Melting sphere: Alternate timeline means everything is a little different.

Last one for now...

PREDATOR 2:

Why was that Pred the only one going out and hitting the town? Why werent the other Lost Hunters going out to party too? Were they just the boring old ones who would rather stay indoors than see the sights?

Who says the others didn't go out hunting? They just weren't interfering with P2's hunt. We didn't see their stories.

The Lost hunters clan are sort of exiled. well it's only speculation I heard, but they prefer the old ways of hunting and were exiled. lost hunter tradition not to intervene?

The name "Lost Hunters" referes only to the fact that the costume props for those Predators were not preserved, but were lost. That's all. It has nothing to do with some deep back story.

Can a T-800 make a woman pregnant?

I'm sure that's not a serious question, but, no. Getting a woman pregnant would serve Skynet no purpose when its mission is to destroy all human beings.

"You don't know what it's like to really create something. To feel it growing inside you. All you know how to create is death." -Sarah Connor

I AM CALM!!!!!:mad::lol

Dude, you used to be cool.....

:lol:rotfl:rotfl:lol

I'll be cool from now on. I just bugs me when people come up with stuff that has no basis in the movie they are trying to rationalize. I will give you this though, there really is no reason Skynet couldn't have hidden a future weapon inside some skin or inside the Terminator's body somehow. I guess T3 is exactly what it did with the T-X though.

This is one of the many reasons I hate T3. They had the Terminator coming out with stuff that in reality an efficient, mind-on-mission machine wouldn't be bothered to say. The bit where he says ''she'll be back'' was utterly pointless other than to spin out a variation on Arnies catchphrase for the benefit of the movie-viewing audience. There wasn't even anyone in earshot of the Terminator when he said that - unrealistic and pointless. Takes you out of the movie.

Yes it does. Couldn't agree more. Arnie became a cartoon even in T2 with line like, "I need a vacation." WTF is that ^^^^? Talk about knocking you out of a movie.

AVP-3 NEEDS A QUEEN!!!

Yes it does. Couldn't agree more, but I don't want another CG t-rex queen again.

What does "Even Alien-R got the queen right" mean?

EDIT: Nevermind. You mean Resurrection. Actually, that Queen was one of the lifesize Queens made for Aliens. Some guy had it in his collection, so they used it in the movie. That's why it was nearly perfect.

I caught your wave length a second before you cleared it up for me.

Despite AR being written by my hero, Joss Whedon, I don't count it as canon. Ripley ended in A3. A4 is just fun if I need another sci-fi monster movie.

Who has seen War Games? How close is the WOPR to pre-sentient Skynet in that movie, huh? I can totally see the events leading to Skynet's self awareness being somewhat like that movie, but instead of Joshua learning the futility of Global Thermal Nuclear War, it becomes self aware, Norad tries to pull the plug, and it uses the results of the game sim as confirmation that it can destroy all humanity. That's the sequel to T1 I want to see.

Funny how that movie came out in '83, the year before T1. Is this more evidence Cameron stole the Terminator idea from other influences?

T3 took far too much of a cue from T2's humour (much the way every Alien film after Aliens suddenly had to be full of one-liners), but where in T2 many of us could at least give it the benefit of the doubt because it was a situation where a punk little kid was teaching a Terminator these lines they had all these "witticisms" seemingly in-built into the T3 Terminator. It was beyond ridiculous and totally detracted from the threat of this once-badass machine that we saw in T1.

Sorry I know this isn't supposed to be another T3 bashing thread. I'll stop....I'll try.

bascially lets be honest t3 and salvation are crap movies. Sorry if it offends but its the truth. Cameron is the one who set the tone and feel for the terminator movies i mean check the punk and gunstore, police desk scenes in the orginial terminator thats what terminator is all about oh yeah and ruthless killing.

T3 started to focus too much on john connor (played by a bad actor given bad lines) and was just ridiculous i.e forced humor (glasses scene). The female lead in t3 was tosh. She was a model but couldn't act. Showing a frowning face is not akin to good acting and can't be considered anywhere near the role robert patrick played as the t1000 where there was real menace. Basically the problem with the movies are cameron didn't direct them.

..but where in T2 many of us could at least give it the benefit of the doubt because it was a situation where a punk little kid was teaching a Terminator these lines.

Granted, but John never said that, and they weren't watching TV at any point. That just came off like a Terminator ad lib which was meant for laughs, but it just makes me cringe every time. That one line blows the whole feel of the movie for me. It is unforgivable that Arnies humor phase was allowed to infiltrate that movie.

It was beyond ridiculous and totally detracted from the threat of this once-badass machine that we saw in T1.

Given the alternate timeline principle, I don't have any problem with T3. Yes, Arnold wasn't the T he was in T1, but he sure as hell wasn't the T in T2 either. In fact, he was closer to T1 in T3, than in T2. At he was the one that eventually killed John. To me, his portrayal in T2 ruined the Terminator image for me. Great action movie though it was, there was so much more wrong with T2 in my mind that T3 gets a pass. Mostly, and I know he had to to further the story of Dyson, I hated that he talked so damn much. Respond to questions, yes, but to ask why people cry, to be curious about something, is so anti-machine.
