why is grimlock taller than optimus prime? is this a new mp grimlock that is taller than the first version?
Might be, but now that is two sets of photos eliciting the same "meh" reaction where lighting may be suspect. May not be the lighting after all.

No, you'll note that Grimlock has the extra pieces added to the bottom of his feet that came with Scoria. These were to increase the height of MP Grimlock to try and match the height of Scoria. I dont really like the look myself, as I think it makes the feet look a little weird.
On the blue version the original chest piece had the logo and the underlining streak. The extra chest piece was the grid only. Why is the logo on the extra piece? Is it being more accurate to an older toy? Having no logo?

Scoria includes a couple "platforms" to put on Grimlock's feet so that he scales better with MP-10.
Basically a stop-gap solution until a new Grimlock inevitably comes around...
That looks nicer than the scrawny POS that Hasbro released.

Online reviewer Optibotimus has recieved his Scoria. Here's some of the pictures he's taken,
There's apparently not as much diecast as Quakewave but the plastic quality is just as good and there's still a bit of tweaking to the red paint being done for the production version in addition to a bit of fine tuning on the tightness of some of the joints.
Grimlock's shoes look OK, I'll likely display Wheeljack in front of him so I won't really notice them too much.
