I actually like both of these new Primes, as they do look funky and different than the usual Prime repaint we see over and over and over--i.e., the evil black and purple Prime. But I wouldn't pay full price for them.

Just check these latest scans for MP-22 Ultra Magnus!!! Looks absolutely amazing in my book!!!

I love that it includes an alternate grimacing head sculpt for when he cant open the Matrix!

And just having him beside MP-10 in alt mode?!?! So beautiful!! Love it!!! :D

I've been procrastinating badly on re-starting my MP collection. I wish I had the skills to repaint Year of the Gold Chrome Prime so I didn't have to pay $250 - $300 for his big blue ***.

When I think I am out, they pull me back in. I think for me seeing not only the color photos of Magnus but also in hand photos of him will be the deciding factor for me.

I have the Hasbro one myself but I'd like a Takara one in the better packaging...still not opened the Hasbro one because the packaging is horrible & I don't want to wreck it opening him up

Neil

The eyes really pop on the Hasbro one, but I agree that the packaging is pretty meh. Not something I'd display MISB, that's for sure.

I'm wondering if the painted red is worth me double dipping... Also the sense of "completeness", since I have all the Takara main releases from MP-11 onward. :)

Which reminds me, I'll still have to track down a coin at some point...

I admit I don't know as much as I would like about transformers, beside the classic cartoon and beast war, I haven't read or checked out anything else transformers related. Still, if they would make some combiners masterpieces, I would definetly pick 1 or 2. I know a masterpiece is probably already very hard to make so i'm not sure if they could even do it with a combiner but I was just wondering, do they have at least plans to produce some ?

Shogo Hasui, the designer of MP10-22 has mentioned in past interviews that he's a fan of Bruticus and would like to make it one day but the following should be considered.

1.He's only the designer, so such decisions probably aren't down to him.

2.He's currently not working on the Masterpiece line.

3.The logistics of making a Masterpiece scale combiner are significant.

I wouldn't write off the chances completely but if it does happen I think that Devastator will be seen as the only viable option.

I do love the screaming failure face on Magnus :lol Does he come with those two clear humans?

I don't know if you caught it, but Takara is re-issuing MP-10 Prime, so you should be able to get him for a more reasonable price.

An MP Bruticus? That will be killer! Bruticus and Devastar FTW!

If i had to pick one combiner MP to be made it would be either Superion or Defensor as they are my 2 favs.

Devastator is the one I'd want too. My brother and I had the Piranacon team between the two of us when we were kids, so I wouldn't mind that either even though it'll never happen.

Gotta be Devastator for me, the first combiner and he was badass in the movie! I'd consider Menasor, mainly because I had it as a kid. Don't think I'd get an Autobot combiner though, the Autobots are already outnumbering Decepticons on my shelf.

Don't get excited yet, as I said in my previous post there are numerous reasons why it's unlikely to happen.

The only combiner popular enough to be considered is Devastator, it's also the easiest to do from a design standpoint because the scale of the various alt modes for the Constructicons just about works without any major compromises needing to be made.

Bruticus has arms that are a Space Shuttle and a helicopter and legs that are a jeep and a tank. The limbs won't match up unless they massively fudge the scale of the alt modes.

Superion's limbs would all have to be roughly the same size as the MP Seeker mold and Silverbolt is a f'ing Concorde. Not impossible but it'd be insanely expensive and there'd probably be stability issues with a combined robot of that size.

The Stunticons are straightforward assuming the car licenses could be acquired but Motormaster is probably going to have to be redesigned in some way because otherwise making an MP10 sized truck with trailer into one robot whilst keeping to the original design and the scale chart is going to be tricky.

Defensor has similar issues to Bruticus where limbs don't match up.

If Takara won't make the other 4 Dinobots, they probably aren't doing Predacons.
