I like that they keep re-releasing these to meet demand. I like it because, being from major toy companies, these really shouldn't be limited IMO, and collectors getting in late don't have to pay jacked up prices. But more than that, I like it because it suggests that this is an extremely successful line, which means we'll hopefully keep getting more and more great stuff.

I agree. They maintain their retail value (at least) despite ongoing re-releases. Even some of the exclusive US releases have seen repeats. Once I get caught up I'm sure I'll just pre-order the Takara releases but in the meantime it's nice to have option.

There are reports over a TFW2005 that the Takara MP re-releases story/pic is fake.:gah: Guess we'll see...

"Sorry to burst your bubbles... This is fake. The Chinese words for remake are hardly used in Japanese context.. Plus the fonts are wrong. My Japanese dealer friend checked with a Takara salesman and he refuted this."

Latest pic of MP-20 Wheeljack hot off the press from Shogo Hasui's Twitter feed!! Looks frickin AWESOME!!! Can't believe this still has an August release date! So close yet so far!! :)

Possible Translation : " I'm an ebay scalper and i want you to continue paying my inflated ebay prices"

:lol

or not. we'll find out later. Takara has a habit of doing re-releases and reissues. so, i'd lean that way.

either/or, already got them.

Silver Bluestreak is still cool with me as it's the same deco as the original toy. The inclusion of 2 red shoulder launchers is a nice extra and I'll definitely display those on the figure I keep in robot mode.

Fans Toys are aiming to Sever their competition,

I wish they had actually released Scoria before opening up pre-orders on another figure.

Waiting for Captured Prey pre-order. Pretty sure all of these Dinobots will push me up to their rewards program!

Someone needs to work on Sludge ASAP. He's like the forgotten Dinobot!

Fans Toys have said Sludge is proving trickier than the others to design which if you look at the G1 toy, is a valid point.

A clean, cartoon style robot mode that will fit with Scoria, Soar and Sever isn't going to be easy as they have to devise a way of hiding the dino legs AND the tail halves that dangle off the side of the robot legs on the G1 toy.

They can hide the dino legs by doing the same as they're doing with Scoria and Sever but where does the tail go and how would that potentially affect other parts of the transformation?

If they went the Giga Power route then they'd completely ignore that problem and just scale up the G1 toy and add some articulation but FT are putting more thought into their designs than that.

Ah, the days when bored animators could have snuck things like that into a movie, where it would have been too costly and difficult to try to change it *sighs longingly*

I've been wanting to get the newest 3rd party Dinobots but I keep finding myself buying other things first. I really like how the transformation works on Scoria.

All things transformers!!!!

So I reluctantly sold my MP-10 to help pay some bills we have amassed. I bought some revoltech figures to fill my Transformers void. They are very fun to pose but are just SO small. They look strange on the shelf. I never had any interest in the YOTD version of Prime but I decided to pull the trigger after reading that the gold paint could be removed to reveal the regular chrome beneath. YOTH Prime arrived today and.. I LOVE IT! I will probably buy a black gun off eBay but I'm not changing a thing as far as the gold paint. He looks like a slightly more sinister version of the Prime we all know and love.
