I did do more pics than this but none of them came out very well so I'll have another crack tomorrow. The main series 1 shelf is looking seriously awesome at the moment.

I haven't transformed Outback or looked at all the extra faces and things yet but I'll do so over the next couple of days. One thing that came in handy with Brawn was one of those little tools that come with Hot Toys Iron Man figures as there were a few panels that needed a bit of levering to come untabbed.

The exosuit transformation is simple enough, it's one of those that's a bit annoying as you have to jiggle all the parts until they're just right otherwise it doesn't tab together properly but it looks OK once it's done which might take some time as it's biggest play feature is removable arms, usually when you least want them to.

Brawn is very solid, one area that stands out as being improved from Huffer are some of the tabs as things generally fit together better. I don't think the plastic used is massively different but I never had an issue with that on Huffer anyway as the thinner panels on that toy were necessary for the transformation to work.

Brawn's transformation is another great effort from BadCube. If there'd been a panel on the back of each leg that covered the gaps it'd have been on a par with Huffer's but maybe there wasn't the option for that which is why they chose to fill some of the gaps with the 2 halves of the gas tank.

Here are some pics of Bumblebee, and pretty sweet, developing MP collection.

Just needs that awesome Megatron!

That's the way the bee bumbles:

karamazov80,

Nice setup! :clap

A word of warning for anyone who gets Bad Cube's Outback,

The Decepticon detector gadget that fits into his gas can is ridiculously tight, so much so that, the two little antenna on it will probably get sheared off when you try and unfold it fully, even if you take your time.

Bad Cube have acknowledged it and have posted a little guide on how to reduce the risk of it breaking on their FB page but have also said that if anyone needs a replacement to contact their dealer with a pic of their damaged one and they can then arrange for a new one to be sent out.

Kapow Toys are on the case for me and have said a replacement should be no problem :)

That aside both Brawn and Outback are top notch, Outback's color scheme is a bit bland but it makes him stand out from all the brightly colored cars and the retooling really helps set it apart from Brawn and also makes part of the transformation slightly different.

EDIT
Did some more pics,

Sideswipe is ready to blow up moons with his new pal!

Brawn living up to his name,

There's no trickery here, the figure can genuinely do this. All I did was click Starscream's legs together which made it easier to get the balancing right.

Picked up Soundblaster. This is my first experience with this mold and my first experience with MP Cassettes. I have five KFC Cassettes and honestly like them quite a bit more than Ratbat. KFC does this think I really like where they seek to really change the shape to something more three dimensional than a tape. They tend to have a lot of folding over and out to do so. Ratbat has 10 joints in contrast KFC's Overslay has something like 20. I will say the KFC Cassettes do not fit MP aestetic well at all while Ratbat certainly does. Still he is a lot less fun to me any.

Onto Soundblaster. Haven't done much other than take him out, pose him slightly, and handle him. Haven't transformed him yet but I really like him. I was a little worried about the look of the hips but in person they look fine. I like that he's light and I was surprised by how much I like the clip on chest piece. I wasn't planning on using it. Maybe was going to use a white outline sticker for his chest symbol. The thing I didn't expect and it makes for a nice effect is that the interior chest is red while the clip on piece is purple so it greats a really interesting effect when you overlay those two transparent pieces on each other.

Just needs that awesome Megatron!

Right on! Waiting for Ultra Magnus to finish 2014. Just wish Takara comes out with a great line-up in 2015 and hope they offer lots more Masterpieces.

I'd like to get into some of the more modern TF comics. I've only been picking up the reprinted UK classics until now. The IDW collection looks like my best bet but it's tough researching in detail without risking spoilers! Is it worth picking up or are there better TF comics out there?

That sucks. Mine arrived the other day and my fiancée promptly hid it and said I wont see it again until Christmas morning. I paid for the damn thing  Cant complain too much though as she has bought me MP-09B and a mystery Hot Toys.

So I finally had 'Bee arrive today from Nippon Yassan.
No frills...no coin, no Amazon exclusive just 'Bee

Hopefully get him opened up tomorrow.

I'm currently picking up these IDW collections...

https://wordery.com/search?term=Transformers+IDW+collection

They are wonderful Hardcovers & apparently run in a suggested reading order

The Transformers: The IDW Collection - Transformers Wiki

I've not started on mine yet as I have a humungous backlog to get through & want to read these when I can really enjoy them.

The series runs upto volume 8 & then will begin Phase 2 which will run the current series of Robots in Disguise & More than Meets the Eye so they are taking it all the way through

HTH

Neil

Thanks a lot I've just picked up the first volume on Amazon. Think I'll wait for the Christmas holiday before I start on it though.
