Yeah it's real nice looking. I'm hoping they make a Shattered Glass version of it to go with my black MP display.

KFC Blaster is sat under the Xmas tree at this moment, checked it for QC and I'm really impressed (tape is a bit disappointing though).

My MP09b arrived the other day and the knee had exploded :gah: Luckily I had a good seller who refunded and reimbursed me for return postage, still annoying though!

dedguy,
Thanks for the info! :clap

DPrime,
I reckon you might be onto something there.

I'm also intrested to see what it looks like with the other Kidslogic figures in terms of size, it should work pretty well with both scales they've used so far.

In addition to Devastator they revealed 2 more sets of the smaller figures at the Toy Soul show.

The Autobot set consists of Ultra Magnus ( white Prime repaint ) Jazz, Wheeljack, Ironhide & Smokescreen

The Decepticon set consists of Megatron, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Soundblaster and Kickback

Magnus is looking incredible!

I don't think he looks bad at all. I like the animated movie, too. But, the character kind of sucks (by design), and I really just want an '84-'85 display, so I don't think I'm going to be picking him up.

I have two MP Grimlocks. One is the original TRU release. Better detail, but his light up feature doesn't work anymore. Then I got the latest TRU release. Light up function works, but he's got super loose hips and the grey plastic looks kinda bland. What a bummer. :(

That shoulder joint is kinda scary. Seems like a very small amount of plastic for a lot of torque. Probably will be fine, most likely just my fears of breaking Black Rodimus' knees.

Thanks for sharing but I will not spoil the surprise this time.

I can't wait to get Magnus and open it! Easily the best MP release as far as how unexpected it was imo. I always thought it was going the another white Prime with an armor.

Sorry to hear that Ben. I did think the re-release looked pretty lackluster.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with that one. If the hips were tighter, I wouldn't mind that much, but they're pretty loose and trying to screw them in better didn't work. My Sideswipe was f'd up too, so that sucked as well. Prowl turned out really nice, though.

Magnus looks really freakin' nice in that video. The engineering in his transformation is amazing. And his size, in the shot with Bumblebee. Wow. I'm really torn about it, because he doesn't go with my display and I don't need him, but he looks to be one of the more impressive MP figures yet in some ways.

This, waiting patiently.:impatient:

He'd fit in with any MP transformer display. Take the chance!:wink1:

Ultra Buttflap doesn't look quite as obese in the video review footage as opposed to in pics but I still think he's still too tall and won't display well with anything except MP01, MP05 and MP09 in Rodimus mode.

Which basically makes the whole reboot from MP10 onwards somewhat pointless, unless they're kicking off a whole new scale for '86 movie characters.

The Spike and Daniel figures are crappy. Dr Wu has an opening to make better ones like they did for MP10.

Most of the transformation is really clever except for,

The buttflap.
( It can be left up so it doesn't look as bad from the front but it boggles the mind as to how a designer capable of doing so much right couldn't make that part fold flush with the rest of the back kibble. )

The faux wheels.
( Why go to the trouble of hiding the actual wheels in the first place? It just adds an extra stage to the transformation that's totally unecessary. A clear case of overthinking on the part of the designer. )

MP12-21 were all 8.5-10/10.

MP22 is at best 6/10.

All things transformers!!!!

Wasn't Magnus bigger than Prime and Rodimus? He's always been huge, I really don't see the complaints regarding his size to be honest. And MP09 in Rodimus mode is a little bigger than MP10, almost unnoticeable.

I think Magnus is a home run. I respect if you want to keep it 84-85, nothing wrong with that. But the size complaints seriously make no sense. Guy was bigger than freaking Grimlock.

Bring out Cyclonus and Galvatron now, TT. It's really what's missing here. We now got Roddy and Magnus.

And a Sixshot wouldn't hurt.

Apparently he's slightly larger in scale than he should be according to this, but considering the inconsistencies in scale on the cartoon I don't think it's a huge deal, either.
