Just curious, is there a way to tell if your Ultra Magnus comes with the coin w/o opening it? I ordered from TFSource, think I may pick up a second to keep sealed as I really love this one.

The coins are packaged separately, not within the figure box. So you should be able to tell immediately if yours came with the coin or not as it will be in the shipping box.

I made a bit of cash from an ebay sale and have now pre-ordered FT Perceptor.

I saw some of the Combiner Wars figures in TRU last weekend and thought they were pretty poor which is par for the course with the mass market stuff these days.

Re: All things transformers!!!!

Thanks. So what are all the figures in this line needed to make Superion and which ones are needed for Menasor? I can't keep track of all this stuff!

No problem.

Just the usual G1 suspects really, except Slingshot. Problem is, they are not all available yet. You can totally skip Prime and wait for Motormaster.

I heard a third party IS doing Slingshot though. Also, theres rumors of a Devastator.

Devvy rumors were made more plausable a few days ago when he showed up in the toys r us computers.

this case listing popped up.

TRANSFORMERS RID DECEPTICON HUNTER STAR WARSWORD BLASTER (4) TRANSFORMERS RID NERF MEGA 1-STEP OPTIMUS PRIME (3)
TRANSFORMERS RID SUPER BUMBLEBEE (SFX)(2)
TRANSFORMERS RID MINICONS DEPLOYERS (2)
TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS DEVASTATOR (2)
TRANSFORMERS RID MASKS ASST (6)
TRANSFORMERS RID BUMBLEBEE BLASTER (4)
TRANSFORMERS RID MINICONS (8)

word is Devvy will be a titan class set for over 100$

some extra info popped up the other day from someone talking about info from their supplier.

No official word, yet, on what Titan Devastator will be but catz has come through with information! Not just for Titan Devastator but for more G1 Platinum reissues! Note: some of the sets listed were seen recently such as the Insecticons and Conehead Seeker trio. Here's what catz' supplier relayed:

"Just got great news(referring to Titan Devastator) from my supplier:
- All new mold
- Awesome
- Huge
- Box are metroplex sized
- Combination of voyagers and 1 leader (the number of bots inside the box are not confirmed yet - sorry for the mess)
- green
- sdcc will be yellow

It's pretty cool as it hits 2 major nostalgia buttons.

It's a shame that the Prime they've made to go with it is a PS1 as a Super Nintendo would have been perfect.
Would've been more appropriate if one were an NES and the other a Sega Master system, considering when they were released vs. when the G1 Transformers were around. Or even more appropriate, if both were arcade cabinets (maybe one being a pinball machine).

Thanks! :)

No other Brawn toy is able to lift other bots like Badcube's effort and it really adds to the fun factor.

Did you see the digibash someone at TFW did of Warpath? If the final figure looks that good it'll be another home run and I'm really intrested in seeing the transformation as I want to know how they've created the illusion of mass shifting.

Yup, I think this is going to be a good one.

Even if a more accurate MP version - either official or third party - comes out down the road (and let's face it, it COULD happen), this will remain an impressive figure in its own right. Definitely worth keeping.

Heh, I actually feel that way about the Generations Warpath as well. He remains one of the very few CHUG style figures I just can't seem to bring myself to sell or trade away (along with RTS Cyclonus). I just really like him... I must be a Warpath fan. :)

Yeah, none of them look particularly impressive to me, either.

I still have my Hercules, which I've kind of debated selling or trading... A part of me wondered if I was too late, since a Combiner Wars Devastator is coming, but seeing these designs, I don't think it will be nearly as good.

I ran across some QuakeWave ebay listings last nigh.... Man, prices for that guy are OBSCENE. At this point I wonder if FT is thinking about a reissue so that I can flip the hell out of mine!

Fair point, I was just thinking Super Nintendo for the 16-bit theme.

DPrime,
Warpath was among the last Classics figures I bought before switching to Masterpiece/3P Masterpiece only and it's aging very well, but Badcube's will be a far better fit for a MP collection.

I'd hang onto Hercules, or if you do get rid ( as I did ), only replace it if there's a proper Masterpiece Devastator.

Given Hasbro's IDW kick there's a strong possibility that there'll be no Scrapper ( dead in IDW ), Hook will take Scrapper's place as Devastator's right leg and Prowl will form the upper torso and head of Devastator.

Would you really want that Devastator?

Hey, is this additional step in the leg transformation of Dragstrip common knowledge? I had no idea myself, but was made aware by someone commenting on my photo in another thread!

To get Dragstrip to sit at the same height in leg mode as the Aerialbots, the rear wing of the alt mode actually swings up to reveal another hole to plug the foot piece into! Here's a pic I took of the difference. I'm sure this wasnt in the instruction book lol!!

I like the figure a lot but having seen the prices it's currently going for I'm also wondering about ebaying it as if I could get 2 or 3 times what I paid ( or even more ) it'd help pay for some other stuff.

Hehe, nope. :)

Man, the damn TFs hook a guy back in quick - grabbed magnus and scoria, gonna do soar and bumblebee this week...really, REALLY hope Apollyon turns out as good as the pic looks, it looks head and shoulders above MP-05 (which I have).

The sad part is, I'd love to give Sideshow my $$$ but their awful QC has chased me off.
