Check out this amazing teaser pic from some unknown 3rd party company on Chinese warrior styled Transformers!! These look great, as good as the recent Samurai Star Wars figures! I will get these for sure if they proceed to final production!

Next Toysrus exclusive is Masterpiece Starscream. How do I go about getting these exclusives. I keep hearing they are a nightmare to get.

Samurai figs are badass!!

Deffo in for that Hasbro Devastator, been sitting on the fence with the two third party ones (UK price pending of course).
Got Transistor on the way, first purchase in a while.

They usually pop up on their website, but sometimes not for very long (in the case of Optimus and Soundwave). Otherwise, you can find them on the shelves or marked up on eBay/forums/bbts as usual. The Acid Storm and Thundercracker figures were easy to get online.

I never, ever saw either Prime or Soundwave at my local R'US (all three of them). I doubt I'll see Starscream. I'm good with my Takara one though.

wow.... um... yeah... sorry... those individual bot modes are kinda.... really off in some way. not deal-breaking... but... wow.

on the up side, 3rd parties are gonna have a field day with add-on parts to replace those wonky knees and elbows ( or lack thereof)

we got a price on this guy yet?

We'll see, but I liken Starscream more to the Thundercracker example. Prime is obviously always going to be popular, and this is arguably the best mold of him ever made, that even sold out in Japan relatively quickly. Soundwave came with all the tapes, and so was a great deal (fortunately a good friend of mine on the boards here helped me out, or I might have missed him). But Thundercracker was easy to get. Takara Starscream can be found around the import retail price at the moment, presumably he won't have any new bells and whistles, and he's not Prime, so I wouldn't fret too much about it. If he comes out equivalent or superior to the Takara version I'll pick him up for sure. Love that mold, and the Takara version isn't perfect IMO.

nope just checked and he's like $350+ :gah: The cheapest one I've seen on ebay is $440:thud:
As of a couple months back, the gray one could be found for a more reasonable price. He isn't all that popular because of the color scheme. If he's dried up on eBay the price might have gone up, but it shouldn't cost nearly as much as the purple one.

Cool, but... I'd like to see more angles, and colour. Looks a little stylized here, to be quite honest.

My first thought is also that he looks a bit stylized, but you could get a stylized look out of most of the recent MP figures if you pose them in just the right way.

Stoked for Tracks.

I received Brawny/Backland yesterday, anyone on the fence - 2 of my favorite figures in the MP scale, period. Sturdy construction, fun transformations, overall awesome. Glad I got both - I actually like the deco on Backland more, despite not even knowing who he really was

Megs, Hound, and Jazz are also way way up on my list, but I'm pretty excited at the likelihood that we'll get Ironhide and Ratchet within the next few releases. I think of Ironhide as one of the most important Autobots. Sort of Prime's right-hand man.
