Got Dayum! $100+ for an MP carbot!? 3rd parties are straight raping wallets. $70 for Takaras is a bit too much but this is just a rip off.

Add another $50 or so to that and that's what I would have to pay. US prices are nothing compared to what collectibles cost in Europe.

I'm waiting on final product images as whilst the overall design of Spinout looks fantastic I think the following choices Omnigonix have made are questionable,

1.They've said there's no chrome.
( The G1 toy had a chrome spoiler and turbocharger. )

2.The spoiler will be yellow.
( At the very least it should be silver, anything else just isn't accurate. )

3.The shoulder missiles will have some silver paint apps.
( Again, this is innaccurate. They should be yellow. )

4.The chest isn't very accurate as for some reason they decided to redesign the windows and base them off an earlier Countach.
( It doesn't kill the figure completely, but it detracts from the accuracy. )

I don't believe an official Sunstreaker is likely so if the final quality of Spinout is good I'll bite the bullet and get it modded so that it's perfect.

Takara have had a working relationship with Lamborghini for a long time now, Sideswipe first came out in 2012. So either they aren't going to bother or they're dragging their feet like they are with a new Megatron, new Decepticons in general and any number of other characters that are already being made elsewhere.

It'll serve them right if 3rd parties continue to rise in popularity and eventually start having an impact on their sales figures, Appolyon might even be the figure to bite Takara in the ass.

The 3P Sunstreaker is expensive but I had to do it as there were no others that were covering him.

If Apollyon sells really well and have very little QC issues, I wonder if Takara is willing to make their version. And if they do, am I willing to spend another $100+ on another Megatron? Lol.

That Sunstreaker looks good, but. . .not MP-level good somehow. Sort of like Hegemon was almost, but not quite an MP Megs (then Appolyon comes along with what seems to be grand slam home run). Can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm not pulling the trigger yet.

And how f'ing great is this vintage throwback box art:

I'm actually surprised someone hasn't created Custom G1 style boxes to put the Masterpiece figures in.

Think those would look sweet for an MIB display

Hegemon was never designed to be part of a Masterpiece display. It was always intended to be a replacement or alternative to Classics Megatron.

Pretty much, it's why I've gotten so picky with what TF's I buy.

I got the QT series Wheeljack this morning,



I might also pick up Sideswipe, Prowl, Red Alert and Smokescreen to go with their larger counterparts and would also get Bluestreak if they make one.

That's a good mold in general. I really like the Black Convoy version of it. He makes a nice pal for Tow World Black Orion.

That is a great shot! And I love that figure to death. Toy World Orion is one of the best Primes made to date.

Yeah he's a great figure. As Black Convoy I don't so much mind him being a bit taller than Hegemon. I see him more as a bruiser than a leader like Megatron. I really like ToyWorld's stuff in general.

Looks like the leg articulation has been improved so that it can achieve a sitting position and that some of the gaps in the lower legs have been filled.

And Takara just keeps putting out more awesomeness every year! They ended 2014 on a high with Bumblebee and Ultra Magnus, and 2015 is off to a controversial start with MP-23 Exhaust. But with MP-24 Star Saber and MP-25 Tracks on the way, and potentially Ironhide, Ratchet, and a big Decepticon on the way, this line is just going from strength to strength!!

I agree with you whole-heartedly. GIJoe, Gobots, Thundercats, Silverhawks, He-man - nope. The Transformers will always be my favorite.
