Agreed - need to see some labels to spruce this guy up. Other than that, it looks great.

Collectors that only go with Takara Tomy and no 3rd party stuff, seeing this Megatron may change their minds.

I'm not generally a 3rd party collector, but yeah, when Takara willfully avoids the second most important Transformer, and this 3rd party company at least gets the design so damn right, it's hard to ignore.

Maketoys take on Inferno, Hellfire. I quite like the aesthetic even though it's not strictly cartoon accurate, and think it'll fit well with the official masterpieces. Would be interested in seeing how it scales with the others.

Make Toys Inferno will be an easy pass as he's not a character I care about. It looks close-ish to the official aesthetic though, maybe a bit too "busy" but sometimes that effect is lessened once it's painted.

I would be down for the Inferno recolor of Art fire and his targetmaster. Jazz recolor would also be cool.

I dig that Inferno, though the feet and legs might be a bit overly exaggerated for my taste, and he is busy-ish. Assuming he's in MP scale, I'll probably pick him up as a stand-in until/unless Takara ever does an official one. You gotta figure Grapple is in the pipeline, too. Hopefully someone tackles an MP-styled Trailbreaker and Hoist soon!

I'm not really fussed on that Inferno looks a little too much for my taste, he's impressive but not really for me.

I would love Trailbreaker though he's so underrated as a character

Inferno looks a little bit too chunky for my tastes, but the biggest problem is the altmode. That entire midsection is just a disaster....

And agh. Sold some stuff so I have some money again, and I noticed that Kapowtoys has Hexatron Continuum for dirt cheap. Reeeaaally tempted to go for it and the stag cleavers, 140 euros shipped is a steal for that thing.

Takara are content to remain in their safe little bubble whilst companies with far lesser resources are expanding the roster of Masterpiece style characters.

Granted the 3rd parties don't always get it right, but I'd sooner see companies showing some ambition and having a go instead of phoning it in.
