Here's my quick look at the Combiner Wars Legends Rodimus. Another repaint that could've been better, but overall not too bad a little figure.

I pre-ordered FT Kickback today so that's the Insecticons all paid for

Next in my sights are Badcube Sunstreaker, FT Hound and FT Reflector.

I also really want XTB Scourge but am waiting on in hand reports before I drop any cash.

I've gone for the toy version as I prefer the combination of black and purple but haven't entirely ruled out getting the cartoon one as well.

No idea which will sell better.

Jesus, it seems that he's the only one that gets absolutely no love from any company.

I agree. The best Galavtron I think is the DX9 Legends one. It's great but it's Legends scale. Sucks there's nothing I like that's larger. I'm not too hot on the Unique Toys one. Xtransbots should be doing him soon in MP scale.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Mighty Galvs isn't X-Transbot next release
Having done Scourge & Cyclonus it's almost inevitable that they will give us Galvatron to go with them.

I can't wait to see if they do & what he'll be like

Galvatron was one I had as a kid, but I never had much affection for him and don't care to own any updated figures of him. But I guess it's not too surprising that we haven't seen much of him, considering we haven't seen too much of Megatron, either.

My guess is Galvatron will get the official treatment. Takara's not resigned to doing carbots forever - they usually release someone "big" every year at least.

lol, yeah. I mean, honestly, when it comes right down to it I'm happy with the "cartoon version". I haven't bought any of the toy colour Dibots, and my MP-10 is the TRU one, so I might as well stay consistent!

I think I'll go ahead and preorder Kickback as well.

539 Designs has already done one Galvatron for XTransbots, the minifigure that's scaled to fit in Cyclonus' cockpit,


Obviously that doesn't transform, but it will have given the guy some practice at getting the look of the robot mode right.

Galvatron is another character that's been rumored to be getting the Takara treatment several times but nothing yet.

I think there's a fair chance of it being one of the next larger scale figures to be announced but until we see a prototype I wouldn't take anything for granted.

I lost intrest in the transformers after the movie back in 86 specially when they killed off almost all the original guys we grew to love in favor for characters like galvatron and the newer players it got boring. when they merged megatron to form him

I just read on the TFW2005 message boards that regarding the Fanstoys Quakewave, the reissue will be slightly darker than the original, and the Toy version will be even darker.

I'm going for the reissue as i identified more with the cartoon than the G1 toys.

well the darker version is the g1 colors. im sticking with the original release I like those colors like the cartoon more then the g1

Given that he was only in the cartoon for about 30 seconds combined, I'm not too attached to that look. But, he'll probably look better on display being a brighter shade of purple. Not sure which way I'll go yet.

he looks awesome with the lighter shade of purple. I think the darker shade doesn`t bring out the details to me as much as the lighter shade does but to each is there own
