To give an idea of what to expect between hand-painted proto and production sample, this is their Scourge. On the proto the paint is too glossy and kinda lumpy and messy. The production sample i much smoother with cleaner lines. Even has more painted detail.

Ultra Magnus repaint of Prime,

I don't care enough about em to get cases. I should sell em off, to be honest.

I was going to comment on how jealous I was about your MOTU collection then I read that & nearly cried such a shame man...any reason why?

I wish I'd got into them as the prices for them are bonkers now but I'd still love to get a few at some point.

Awesome collection either way :clap:clap

I was on board for the entire line for the first two years or so, then they started releasing characters I just didn't really care about. I'm only into the vintage line that I grew up with, i.e. the original He-Man, Skeletor, Faker, etc. and the base characters. Most of the characters we started getting meant literally nothing to me, as I never had their toys as a kid. Then Mattel started their crap with including the Star Sisters in the sub and various other Digital River issues and I finally just changed my debit card and stopped the sub. I have everything released up to the Star Sisters pack, and that's enough for me.

Plus it didn't help that, as a more casual fan, anytime I went looking for info or discussion on the line the only other fans I encountered were, uhh....scary, to say the least. The combination of Mattel's suckery and the fanbase just ruined a lot of it for me.

Yeah, the extremely niche figures released, plus Digital River, plus wacko fans also kept me at arms length from the MOTU stuff, even though I was really into it as a young kid. Their animated style figures may rope me back in, though, if I can just avoid the other nonsense.

New pics of Masterpiece Ironhide are upon tfw2005 today. I believe Takara Tomy has to be using some kind of dark magic to get this van:

Loving all of the accessories. Going to be a great release. Now bring on Ratchet!
I really hope they reveal Ratchet before Ironhide ships, because it'll be hard to pass him up otherwise. I really only need one of the two considering they are the same mold, and I'm more partial to Ratchet personally.

Literally the exact same story here, except I sold mine off. I'm actually excited that Toy Guru is off the project and they are doing a Filmation sub-Subscription. Great time to jump back in.

On topic - I really love this CW Devastater. Even the clunk-factor of the individual robots added to the nostalgia value for me.

I've got a question for the TF MP gurus.

I got the first run of MP Red Alert and also recently bought the 2nd run and I noticed the first run has the "non-squinty" eyes and the 2nd run have the "squinty" eyes. Just want to ask if that is normal and not a KO? Thanks to the one who answers in advance! :)
