Ok so who is excited that we will be getting Ultra Magnus through the Ultimetal line? I mean we would be much more excited for Megatron, but I will take Magnus for now. This is an instant buy for me, but that's because I have experience with Prime.

I'd honestly just like more mass market Beast Wars stuff as long as it's as good as Rattrap, Waspinator, and Rhinox.

The Takara Legends Blackarachnia is pretty good, it's not entirely show accurate but the headsculpt is fantastic and the figure looks good with the 3 Generations BW figures.

I'm very happy to see this line continue. Hopefully this will sell out like Prime did and show them there is a demand so they give us Megatron. That is out Goal right ????

Ultimetal Optimus in 2014 was 78,000YEN about 680USD plus 200USD shipping.

We don't know how much Magnus will be because he is basically a White Optimus with a wonderful Ultra Magnus Armor on top. So this may be way over the 1000USD shipped price. Maybe closer to 1400USD in 2016 dollars.

I agree the Ultimetal line is expensive, but has lots of engineering involved. The Optimus Prime has the Real Peter Cullen voice chip. You are welcome to watch my review. I don't have any ads on my channel either.

Honestly you need to see this in hand to understand what you are buying into.

Where exactly did you get yours? I got mine from an eBay seller (goodshipped) and it was quoted $820 shipped at the time I paid for it (I didn't get it for almost one year later) bi at the end, seller contacted me asking for more $$$, as he had "miscalculated" how heavy and big the box was. He did offer a full refund if I didn't want to pay the extra cheese though, so I liked that. I was about $100 extra, so I was down $920.

Worth it? You betcha.

But I saw that BBTS had it for $999 (maybe less) not too long ago (sold out now) and they wanted $40 for shipping. It's really not all that much of a difference when you take into account that you are dealing with a local, trusted seller with this expensive figure, so I guess I'll go that route once the $1500 (or more???) Magnus gets a PO.

My only focus is TF's now, so (while expensive) I can manage to get these UM beauties. The way I see it, they are going for iconic characters, and their pace actually helps, as they are very spaced out releases.

My wants are:

Galvatron

Rodimus

Megatron (PLEASE)

Grimlock (Dino mode)

Shockwave (holy ****!)


These, to me, seem entirely plausible. Well, shockwave is more of a wish.

Imagine that lineup, in full UM glory.

If the time came when I had to sell all my TF collection, I'd try as hard as I can no to ever let go of the UM Prime. It's is, to me, the most definitive Optimus Prime figure ever made, and quite possible, the best thing I've ever owned collectible wise.

I cracks me up whenever I see someone putting it down because it "can't transform".... Jesus, as if Hasbro would ever allow an official 3P to make a transformable Prime. And even if they did, Prime would be 2K easily.

And the price. Endless complaints about be price. It's not like they come out a month after PO, you've got time to save.


Can't ****ing wait.

You can maybe get the MP 02 I think it was. But yeah, no armor. Though it has a cardboard cutout for the trailer if one wants it.

Also, didnt the third party Inferno just release?

Looks like my Maketoys Hellfire is now a smidge redundant

Ah well I'm still happy with him & will do for my Inferno.
Only real problem for me is the cost difference I think I'll have paid almost double the expected cost of the Takara one but thems the breaks.

Spoke to Kapow Toys about 5 minutes ago & looks like their stock of Ratchet will be in next week.

Currently watching Transformer the Movie again & it only makes me want a Blurr & Kupp to go with my Hot Rod even more.

Speaking of the movie, does anyone have the X-Transbots Scourge?
Is he any good?
Thinking I should pre-order FansToys Galvatron too now lol
