Im not into supporting KO's neither, but when a "KO" company can produce better versions of G1 characters Hasbro/Takara has no plans of releasing, I don't mind

I think I got my genuine G1 Dinobots for less than that, but of course they weren't mint in the box. Is there some reason to think that they won't eventually make encore releases of the Dinobots?

it's really anyone's guess right now, but IMO, they've released the same stuff everytime a G1 re-release line comes out, although Encore has had some surprises. I bought the Mirage & Wheeljack as placeholders until/IF they get officially released. If they don't, oh well....

I do agree with u, if it can b in better shape than the originals I wouldn't mind having them because they bring back more to me such as memories and childhood

I was looking forward to Hasbro's first movie action figures, until I actually got a look at them.

I think the molds for the Dinobots,Wheeljack,Mirage & Sunstreaker have said to have been lost or damaged,and Shockwave hasn't been given the Encore treatment due to legal issues over who owns the mold as he was originally made by another company.

So with the world economic situation being what it is Takara may want to keep their costs down and not pay out for repairing the damaged ones or making brand new ones.

It sucks as I'd sooner have an official set of reissued Dinobots than risk buying knockoffs but the Masterpiece Grimlock being released in March is a hell of a consolation!.

The chosen color scheme is well... pretty much accurate. Hasbros is waaaay too dark...

to me, it's a far more accurate portrayal of Cyclonus over the years then this crapola:

The improvements are astounding.

The new one is leaps and bounds better than the first, while not perfect it looks great. I might actually get one this time around.
