5 reasons why the anticipation of the Takara's Master Piece Grimlock is the figure that all should look forward to over any Hot Toys figure (proud owner of a bunch of those) and any other company's...

5. Just as detailed as any high-end 1/6th scale figure produced by a EnterBay or Hot Toys, but slightly bigger.

4. More affordable, if by only 20 US. With EnterBay Bruce Lee figures, as high as 160 even.

3. It Transforms! So it's two toys in 1. C'mon... a humanoid robot and a dinosaur in one?! Pure awesomeness!

2. It's friggin' Grimlock!

1. It's friggin' Transformers and the best line to date!

I do agree with you but I had to cancel my order from BBTS cause this one should be available for a while...knock on wood. I had too much figures that I purchased this month. HT Ironman, SS Snake Eyes Ex., SS EPII Obi Ex. and adding to my list Enterbay Jack. Even tho I am a bigger fan of Transformers, I had to cancel but of course Grimlock will be mines. After I recover more funds. Grimlock kicks ass!

I love Grimlock and this figure is probably the best representation of him ever, but one question, why is he so small? Isn't Grimlock supposed to be bigger than Prime?

Oh, and I heard last week that this was the final season of Transformers Animated which really disappoints me. This series is really starting to hit it's stride and they go and cancel it. I guess Ponyboy was right, nothing gold can stay.

That sucks. My daughter and I have been watching TA every day and I will be picking her up the DVDs not to mention we have just about every figure.

I was wondering if anyone has some spare parts for the Transformers Animated deluxe toys as my kids have made a habit of losing parts.

He's not green, it's just a black plastic that looks like dark green when in certain lights. Not the first time that happened either, I've seen that before.

Ok, I know this could almost be considered a necropost, but he is cast/molded in dark green plastic, don't believe me? Then go check out Mike's review on YouTube, wait, here's the link:

It is about 0:39 sec. into the movie/video.

Also, bump. :D

Yup, saw that. Really surprised me, I really thought it was just the flash that screwed up the colors...

That's still just a rumor. The rumor came from the fact that 2 different season 3 finales were written. One had a cliffhanger for a possible season 4 while another was written that concluded the series.

Derrick J. Wyatt has already confirmed that he's still doing designs for new TF's for Hasbro. A season 4 is already in the works but hasn't been given the "green light" yet. Just like before season 3 was ok'ed, Cartoon Network wants to see how the ratings are before committing to anything. If CN decides not to renew, Hasbro can always take the series somewhere else which they said last year was a possibility before CN went ahead with season 3.

In all likely hood, the series will get renamed with a slight revamp but still have the same characters. TF:A will cease to exist but the characters will live on, just like when Beast Wars became Beast Machines.

TF:A, even in it's awful saturady timeslot, is still one of CN most watched shows. That along with the fact that the show is cheap for CN, Hasbro pays for most of the bills on the series, unlike the CN shows like Ben 10; make it a no brainer not to cancel the show.

Outsides the movie line from '07, the TF:A toys are the best selling TF line that Hasbro has put out in 10 years. Canceling the show would also mean probably the end of the toy line which also makes no sense on Hasbro's part. As long as they are making $$$$ it's not going anywhere.

Wait till Botcon for an offical Hasbro announcement.

I hope you are right as I am on board with this show. The Beast Wars - Beast Machines really messed me up so I don't want to do that again.

While it was airing, I loved BW so much that I hated the change in BM when it happened. I bought the BM boxed set last year and only realized how good the BM storyline was now that I'm older.

Okay, so there is still hope. I heard the same that Hasbro wants all attention on the movie sequel so they were cancelling the series, and I hope that is false.
I am a child of the eighties and am man enough to admit when something new comes out from an 80's property it can be good. I am a firm believer that the newest Ninja Turtles cartoon and He-Man cartoon are superior to the 80's versions. While Transformers Animated is not on the same level as the original G1 you can tell the people responsible are fans and they have done their homework. I mean Rodimus going out because of cosmic rust, I love it. If I could sign a petition for Cartoon Network to keep Transformers on the air I would.

Yes there is still hope.

Hasbro already has confirmed that new Animated toys will continue throughout the year with new season 3 characters. Rodimus and Blackout have already been anounced by the TFCC and Blackout is even up for preorder if you are a member.

Hasbro is going to focus on the movie figures this year with most of their shelf space dedicated to them but Animated will still be there as well. It just isn't going to be pushed as much as it has been in the past. Universe/Classics is being put "on hold" again while the movie figures are out.

Rodimus isn't dead!! :D He'll be back according to Derrick J. Wyatt. A Rodimus / Optimus teams vs. Megatron / Strika teams fight is rumored for later in the season.

I don't know if anyone else is a TFCC member but the new issue just came out with pics of animated Rosanna and Hubcap. I don't have the issue yet but a pic of Reflector is supposed to be inside. Here's a scan my friend sent me.
