Looks like a crappy toy. Real shame they had to sacrifice the botmode for the combined mode...

Oh, and who saw the last Animated episode? Obvious Devastator setup is obvious...

This is the way he looks in the movie. The vehicle mode has kibble but still has a compact look. Devastator is not in Animated.

From what we've seen in the trailer and from what the Legends toy suggest, he has a much broader chest and a different looking waist, and the carrying half the plane on his back thing is an incredibly giant turnoff. Hopefully we will get pics of the leaked toy soon though, since the official photos almost always look like crap.

And yeah, the altmode looks great! :rock The kibble is noticeable, but not as horrid as Silverbolt, with only the arms placed a bit poorly.

And I'm still holding out hope for Devastator.:( This might have been one of the Season 4 setups that was cut with the cancellation of the series, though.

that goes without saying, but I'd expect them not to be THAT shortsighted, and plan to re-start animated in the fall after the movie is done.
much like they do with the universe/ classics toyline

5 reasons why the anticipation of the Takara's Master Piece Grimlock is the figure that all should look forward to over any Hot Toys figure (proud owner of a bunch of those) and any other company's...

5. Just as detailed as any high-end 1/6th scale figure produced by a EnterBay or Hot Toys, but slightly bigger.

4. More affordable, if by only 20 US. With EnterBay Bruce Lee figures, as high as 160 even.

3. It Transforms! So it's two toys in 1. C'mon... a humanoid robot and a dinosaur in one?! Pure awesomeness!

2. It's friggin' Grimlock!

1. It's friggin' Transformers and the best line to date!

ii think it's more of an overall mass thing. he's much bigger around. there is more to him, etc.

Height wise, i think he's about 10-11 inches tall.

I'd be very happy if he were 11 inches tall. Looks like he's more like 9:

Damn that's an impressive figure. I'd be so tempted to buy, especially at the price. But after a few spots on my Megatron started to rust or tarnish, thanks to the humidity, I'd be pissed if the same thing happend to Grim!:banghead

Wha?! That hasn't happened to my Megs. Your Megs must be a Hasbro version that never saw a light of day in retailers because of the fact he transformed into a gun. However, was accidently still released to a few people.

Sad really. Much like this fictional story I made up. :monkey4

Yeah, appearantly there's a problem with especially Megatron's feet where the humidity can color the diecast in an odd yellow tone. I think it can be cleaned easily, though...

Any idea what to clean it with? I noticed my Megs was doing this on a lot of his die-cast parts when I moved him to dust a few weekends back.
