Here's a couple of minor revisions to some of the Botcon info on forthcomng releases that I read at TFW,

WFC Cliffjumper will have a modified headsculpt with longer horns.

If the initial WFC toys do well Hasbro want to do more and Starscream is on their shortlist. Makes sense as there's plenty of repaint potential.

Wheeljack and Trailbreaker are characters they haven't forgotten about but it didn't say they would be repaints/retools of Generations Tracks and Perceptor.

Perceptor will be repainted into Reflector.

I've also read some stuff about a line that will consist of the original 13 Transformers which will have ( among others ) a new version of Vector Prime.

Having now had the WFC game on rental since Saturday I think it's the best TF game there is but I still don't think it's worth paying full price for.

It's got some nice moments such as the battle with Omega Supreme but there's too many faceless drone characters for my liking and I wish the melee combat was more varied.

Love the character designs though.

Thanks for the updates, bcm. The Original 13 guys won't get toys though, it seems that it's just a backstory thing for the new fiction.

Perhaps I read that wrong then.

Really hope we get that WFC Starscream though and I'm glad that Wheeljack ( & Trailbreaker ) will probably get their own molds as from the reports I read of people who were at that panel the new Tracks mold is like the G1 toy with modern articulation and detailing and Wheeljack's alt mode looks nothing like a Corvette Stingray.

As his original toy is one of those never likely to be reissued I think Hasbro should do a Lancia Stratos lookalike alt mode and get the robot mode as close to the cartoon as possible. I also think his headsculpt should have clear blue plastic "ears" as well as light piping on the eyes 'cos in the right lighting it'd look awesome.

I can't believe iGear is getting away with this ____.

Yeah, I do think they're getting abit ambitious, and I'm really thinking Hasbro might start paying attention, but I'll still be getting one:lol

Im really hyped for the US release of MP Grimlock, he looked so good. I forgot about this thread to see if any others were going to be at botcon.

Why is it a surprise? We have customizers out there selling their toys for abnoxious amounts of money, but nobody ever says "i cant beleive *insert name here* is getting away with this" when they post an auction on ebay every month that sells for $1000+.
Theres no difference really, except i-gear arent interested in petty "who'se e-_____ is bigger" competitions with each other, or trying to destroy each others reputations or milk as much money out of people as possible.

This is a gorgeous toy, and i hope i-gear do well with these "re-imagined", shrunken down masterpieces.
I wont be buying any as i cant justify spending the sort of money they charge on a toy at the moment...well not until i get my auto-art business on track, but in the meantime i hope they do really well and keep putting out products that Hasbro SHOULD make, but wont.

Someone's gotta cater to the hardcore fans somehow, right?

On a slightly different note, has anyone played the xbox360 game called "Dead Space" and if so what did you think of it as i was considering a purchase.
edit: so the socially-acceptable term for the male genetalia, which you can say on daytime tv, is censored on this site?
Wow.

Wow.

I was talking with someone about this at botcon since they had a prototype of the bruticus from tfsource...I think thats what they were called. Anywas the toys were awesome. Ball jointed legs and arms and ankles for those awesome flat footed poses. I kept thinking why cant hasbro engineer some stuff like that...I mean instead you get a bunch of blocky bots that rarely ever look good in both robot or vehicle mode. Its usually one or the other again with the exception of a few. Just my 2 cents. I mean dont they realize the hardcore fans would pay for it if it justifies a little higher price tag. Even when I was walking the aisles looking at the TF animated figures and then looking at the Japanese versions...even though in most cases it was just a different paint app, you could just see that the Japanese figures looked so much better. If they actually are doesnt even matter because they already sold me visually right down to the packaging. Its one of those things where I just think the American toy companies dont really care that there is a casual buyer (children/parents of children) and hardcore collector, they just look at it like heres are toys for this year and have at it.

I KNEW they'd shrink the MP Seeker mold! :lol

Never expected they'd do a Conehead first though.

It's not shrunken down, though. It's the same size as the Seeker mold! They just recasted it and did some new tooling, and even that was done using the orginal toy (front wings are the tailfins, rear wings are shrunken down original wings, head is the standard head with the nosecone used for the cast). And I have a sneaking suspicion that those pods were casted using pens as well, just look at their shape, and the holes at the end....

Normally I love third party stuff, but they are just blatantly infringing on HasTak's copyright now, as well as cashing in on the hard work of others with subpar products that have very little actual creativity involved.

It looks really good. Cant believe how many people are _____ing about it, but will still buy it like my self. I dont know if Hasbro or Takara can do better. I really doubt it in terms of design and acessories. Quality control is the only edge they would have.

Will be getting one if the QC isn't as dubious as other iGear products.

Hasbro didn't cheap out on this MP, as someone thought they might long ago in this thread. I must buy this as soon as it hits, doubt he will be shelf warming for long.
