Hasbro may not have cheaped out for once but I'd be very suprised if their MP Grimlock,

1.Is released in Europe

2.If it is the starting price in the UK will be £70 which is barely any saving on what I paid for the Takara version ( £90 shipped from a Hong Kong based ebay seller. )

If I'm wrong, then great, I'll wait until it's been warming shelves for a few months like MP Prime did and gets reduced to something like £40 so I can display one in both modes.

It's just a premium leader Starscream, though. So technically we already got a MP Prime, in the form of the Buster repaint.

It's about 11 inches or so tall. Same mold as the new RotF Leader Starscream, which is hitting stores now for about $45. It will undoubtedly be much nicer, though, and seems to be going for TF1 accuracy.

This is the release I've been waiting for! This fantastic mold deserves a fantastic paint job, and I'm glad Takara-Tomy agrees. I've pre-ordered him already, and he'll look great alongside Buster Prime. I'm thrilled they announced this before I was tempted to buy the cheap-looking Hasbro version that's hitting toy shelves now.

Takara Masterpiece MP-04S Convoy Sleep Version has been released in Japan. Inside this masterpiece, a booklet has been included that carries a message from the Convoy/Optimus Prime.

In Japanese language, we read the sentences from left to right horizontally, just like English. However it has been noted there is a secret message that revealed who will be the next Masterpiece.
If you are familiar with Japanese language, please read the below images on the 2 highlighted columns vertically.
It means "The name of the new Masterpiece is Rodimus".

At this moment, there is no confirmation from Takara Tomy.

Totally. This will probably be my one Transformer for the year. The G1 Masterpiece series is nice, but they keep getting smaller and smaller and less and less "masterpiece"-esque. Plus, they take forever to come to the states for a reasonable price; I will not pay $150 for an oversized G1 Grimlock, but I will pick him up for $60 locally.

G1 Masterpiece Rodimus could be very cool, but at the rate they've been going he'll probably be 6" tall.

I can't stand the idea of TFTM/ROTF figures or designs being in the MP line. Just doesn't seem right. I'd almost rather have another repaint than a lackluster character design from a failed movie. MPs come with characterful accessories. What will SS have? A bottle of drool and one of those dead baby Transformers. ROTF Starscream the mid-wife.

Rodimus certainly deserves the MP treatment. But to release Leader SS in the MP line before other much more deservant characters just sucks. I guess it's a cheap way for TakTomy to push the pace since the figures already there...

Bub, critically it was a failure. Plus, even Michael Bay and Shia LeBouf stated that they could have done better and alot of the problems were from the writing strike. Having the main human star and director state that the film wasn't the best should tell you something.

But then again, this is probably the only Transformers you know, so this probably looks great to you. Don't you have some customizers to whine about?
