I love the Masterpiece Grimlock so much. I can't believe how awesome his transformation is and it's incredibly easy to do as well. It took me less than 2 minutes to transform him from dinosaur to robot without even having to look at the instructions. The transformation is remarkable similar to the old G1 version in a lot of ways.
And see this is the problem.
Nobody is willing to stand up and get their hands dirty.
Thats why people like that get away with that kinda crap.
So where is the place for this conversation, hmm?
Isnt that a nice way of basically saying he is overly simplistic for whats supposed to be a high-end "masterpiece"?

No. He's user friendly so his transformation makes sense and is not overly complicated, but it feels and looks perfect in my opinion. He's definitely worth the $70.

I agree. While an incredibly awesome figure, he's no masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination. He's maybe $30 worth of figure, marked up to outrageous prices. If you got him for $59.99 with free shipping, you got the least ripped off. I'd be downright furious if I paid $140 for this figure, like its going for on eBay and what the Takara-Tomy edition cost to import.
That said, I've probably already transformed him more than all my other masterpiece figures combined, because it's actually doable (I transformed Megatron once, and have no desire to do so again). I just wish the price was set at a realistic figure.

This man speaks the truth I love MP Grimmy !! I agree he is to expensive (especially as I have the Takara one) and do wish he was a little bigger. The transformation isn't complicated for the sake of it and he looks pretty much perfect in both modes. He is the most "fun" of all the MP's so far and great to just pick up and mess around with. I hope MP Rodimus follows this trend.
Unfortunately It looks like Roddy's price is going to be similar too.

MP Grimlock is right up there with the MP Seekers,they have way more detail then MP Prime and Megs.
Grimlock's transformation was pretty basic both in the cartoon and for the original toy, what were people expecting him to do for the MP version?, he looks perfect to me in both modes and he has some neat action features.

Oh boy...anyways I picked up Sea Spray yesterday. Pretty cool and I think he'll fit into the CHUG collection quite nicely. He'll look good next to Powerglide.

You know whats really old? People who dont know the facts and misread everything putting the blame on me for someone elses BS.
And the comment about someone threatening my wife wasnt sniping, it was stating a fact and was relevant to the conversation i was having with RA88.
Like i said, you misread it and it was taken out of context AGAIN.
So in future, get your facts straight before accusing me of instigating trouble which i have spent the last THREE YEARS trying to avoid and get away from, just to be followed and harrassed continually by certain groups of people who either start shouting their mouths off about stuff they know nothing about, or started the problem in the first place.
And, since it IS something that is important to note since this is my wife i was talking about, i think i have the right to tell whoever the hell i want that "SOMEONE" (Notice i didnt name any names, so it is only YOU who is assuming i was talking about FR, thus the implication now is YOU are the one bringing this BS up since you seem to think everything i say on here is directed at him which it isnt. I wouldnt waste that much energy on something so stupid. There are more people int he tf "community" tthat you can make enemies out of otehr than him ya know) in the tf "community" threatened my wife with violence as a means to get at me. I would also then expect people to be sympathetic to the situation, and instead of worrying about their precious thread going a little off topic, actually be apologetic to the fact that a mans wife was threatened by someone in our "community" with violence for no reason what so ever, other than to get at me.
(Some people might simply call that being a human being and living in polite/civilized society and having compassion for others)
Seems that is too much to ask for at this point though eh?
At the very least it should serve as a warning to others that even in the tf "community", there are scumbags out there who will threaten your family members just because they have had a disagreement with you, and that everyone is not how they seem at face value.

Well most of us are on here just to have fun and talk about a hobby we enjoy and are passionate about.
Yeah, the odd thing will annoy people prompting discussions and disagrements, but on the whole (like most hobbies) it’s an escape from the problems/stress of everyday life and something to be enjoyed.
I guess I just don’t see where you get your enjoyment from when everything about the franchise seems to annoy you and make you SO angry.
Other fans liking/disliking something you don’t, sets off a rant.
People that can buy figures you can’t, sets off a rant.

Someone you had an argument with 3 years ago and won’t let go……….oh and every American in the world because they “get everything handed to them on a plate and their lives are so easy”
People let it go time and again because of the inevitable 8 page argument that will follow. I’m sorry to say this but it is very tiresome and sometimes you come across like a spoilt child having a tantrum in a toy isle because they can’t have what they want.
I’m sure I’ve made the (ever growing ) list of people you have a problem with now (after all I am a twat apparently) but hey.

People having such easy access to toys that we in the UK have to hunt down like animals or pay through the noses in import fees to own annoys me.
I dont see why i am not allowed to express that*, yet in the same breath you say i am so make up your mind.
I dont care if other fans dislike or like something i dont. What i do dislike is those fans then going around saying that the thing they like is the best thing ever and the thing i like is the worst.
Again, i should be allowed to express how wrong and idiotic attitudes like that are, like you said*.
As for a stalker that i had an arguement with three years ago who will not stop or let it go i think ANYONE in a similar situation would be slightly annoyed by that. If you were victimized like that youd have something to say about it too. When you know what its like come back and talk to me then.

As for what i get out of the hobby. When i can afford them or find them i enjoy the feeling of collecting Transformers, and i also enjoy pianting them and customizing them. Which i still do, despite peoples constant failed attempts to stop me. (just because they feel threatened by me, so they threaten my wife with physical harm...makes sense doesnt it?)
BTW i apologize for calling you a name. That was very stupid and immature of me. I was just getting a bit agitated so i blerted it out.
