Anyone got the MP-09 Rodimus? I saw lots of griping about QC issues but wanted to hear or see some pics from boardies here.

I got him last week and have to say I love him. I have transformed him a few times and it gets easier with each attempt as you get used to him. I've not put him in the Trailer yet as I am going to do some modding so I don't run the risk of damaging the wing/spoiler. The car mode does look kinda squished, but awsome at the same time
I may have just got a good one but I have had no damage or problems at all (touch wood) and he doesn't seem as difficult to transform as many people have indicated (IMO). Pretty much alternator level. Harder than some but far easier than the Grimlock/wheeljack mold. The difficult thing is getting everything lined up perfectly as a slight miss-alignment will result in it being wonky.
The two robot modes aren’t particularly different, but it’s a nice touch that it was included and the face swap, visor, and hand accessories all work pretty well. I am still a bit dissapointed they didn't chrome his eyes but I've also discovered by lowering the visor just a touch looks pretty cool as it looks like the eyes are clear plastic.
Personally I think he is a top figure!!

What, Generations and the Prime toys aren't a big enough hint?
Though to be fair, the Ultimate figures have always sucked, for collectors at least, because they're pure kid's toys. At least this one doesn't suck like Devastator did.
And if Red Leader of Kapow-Toys is to be believed, there will still be a potentially great power up mode Optimus for us in store, thanks to Takara:

from the videos MP09 isnt very 'functional' to 'play with' cheapish feeling and very plastic and lightweight-chest keeps poppin open,black parts on the lower legs are weakly connected but at the end of the day its not a toy and shouldnt really be 'played with' im just gonna keep him as he comes in robot mode to evade those problems then when the hasbro version comes,just mess about and transform that version cos its cheaper! MP figures are for display in detolfs etc imo
People will always only focus on the negative....
So who made HA BB, HA Jazz, HA Skids and Mudflap, HA Barricade, Leader Prime, leader Starscream, Voyager battle blades Prime, Battle Blade BB, rotf voyager starscream to name just a few of the examples of quality, well designed TF movie toys and then theres the countless awesome universe and classics toys.
No Hasbro aint perfect and alot of their decisions dont make sense and yes some of their toys outright suck (like anything in life) but you gotta take the rough with the smooth every once in a while.
No ones putting a gun to your head and forcing you to buy their products so why do people always act as if they are owed something and when they dont get it throw a strop or/and then write off the whole bloody brand or entire line before they are even out or in peoples hands!?

I like the winnebago alt mode too much to just leave this guy in Robot mode, the TRU version will be used for display in robot mode alongside the Takara version in Rodimus alt mode.
