He popped up in recent Walmart listings for TF3. Hopefully we'll see him at Toyfair this weekend.

I'm very dissapointed with the DOTM ultimate prime, at least now I get to save 80+ dollars, was hoping they were going to take the design from ROTF leader prime and step it up, guess not.

I got him last week and have to say I love him. I have transformed him a few times and it gets easier with each attempt as you get used to him. I've not put him in the Trailer yet as I am going to do some modding so I don't run the risk of damaging the wing/spoiler. The car mode does look kinda squished, but awsome at the same time

I may have just got a good one but I have had no damage or problems at all (touch wood) and he doesn't seem as difficult to transform as many people have indicated (IMO). Pretty much alternator level. Harder than some but far easier than the Grimlock/wheeljack mold. The difficult thing is getting everything lined up perfectly as a slight miss-alignment will result in it being wonky.

The two robot modes aren’t particularly different, but it’s a nice touch that it was included and the face swap, visor, and hand accessories all work pretty well. I am still a bit dissapointed they didn't chrome his eyes but I've also discovered by lowering the visor just a touch looks pretty cool as it looks like the eyes are clear plastic.

Personally I think he is a top figure!!

Thanks Bob! I didn't even realize he'd been released yet. Need to get caught up on some Transformer's news apparently.

Anyone know what the turn around was for the stores here to get their exclusives of the MP line compared to when they originally came out? Could we possibly have another TRU (or someone else) exclusive of Rodimus by this Christmas?

On another note, I took some pics of my Transformers and thought I'd share. Nothing you haven't seen before of course! There are a few more in my collection thread if anyone is interested.

Yea, Black and blue cannon too..uhh i think the arm display screens had different characters on the stickers..Megatron and StarScream maybe...i forget now.

Yep Roddy has been out for a few weeks now. There have been horror stories from some people that got him, but mine is pretty much perfect thanfully. I'm not 100% sure when the Hasbro version is due out (possibly 6 months or so), but it will be just Hot Rod with no Camper van trailer For Rodimus alt mode. I believe I heard somewhere it will be a TRU exclusive, but I may have been drunk/dreaming so don't quote me on it

I watched some guys review on Youtube last night about Rodimus. Debating on which version to get. My funds are spread so thin at the moment I might just wait for the Hasbro version. Maybe some of the griefs about transforming him will be addressed. I'm not sure I have room to display him with the camper anyways!

I will say that when the guy started mentioning MP Megatron in the same breath as Rodimus I was turned off a little. I think Megatron is one of the best looking figures out there. However, I've never attempted (nor will I) to transform mine and I HATE moving him! He basically falls apart if you look at him wrong. In fact he's the only Transformer I have that requires a HT's figure stand.

Love the MP line though, and it's really the only one I collect. I just wish we would see Soundwave (with extra cassettes of course) made. Him and Jazz and I'll stop my requests!

Congrats on the IV showing up man! Such a GREAT figure! I've uploaded ALL the photos I took of him to my collection thread. There are more there than what I posted in his thread. Let me know when you update your thread and I'll stop by there as well!

BTS Soundwave looks OK but I still prefer the Music Label one.

If they make a Blaster variant I'd be intrested as I don't really like the Device Label one.

PE Reflector looks awesome but at £54.99 I'm going to wait for now as I'm anticipating the TFC Constructicons to cost somewhere in the same region each and I don't want to risk missing out in the inevitable scramble when the first one becomes available to pre-order.

Nice pics and I agree that a Masterpiece Soundwave would be awesome. I think an MP Jazz would be too but there's no chance of an official G1 MP because Porsche are part of the VW family and they have already refused requests to use the New Beetle and a Porsche Boxster for Alternators versions of Bumblebee & Jazz because they don't want their brands to be associated with "war toys".

The first Constructicon is out in May but I don't think I'll have the cash for both that and Reflector as my budget is very limited.

That being the case the Constructicon takes priority.

Soundwave would be the ultimate and some nice cash for them. I would think with some variations on the cassettes that they could achieve nice, profitable, add ons that wouldn't take a bunch of R & D, etc. It is the #1 want on my list for anything Transformers!

So not to sound too newbish but if you guys would help me out...what are all the abbreviations? Like PE or TFF or all that "jazz" . Also, is there a line out there that is close to the Masterpiece line? Sometimes I just get overwhelmed trying to research anything because there seems to be SOOO much Transformers swag out there. I should say I'm mostly interested in G1 items. I don't mind the Transformers Universe line but they really aren't in the scale that I like. As you can see from my pics I've only kept the Ratchet I purchased as it seems to be the best robot version of him IMO.

I know some people really like the Alternators line and I've seen the Jazz and Hound and I like them. The Jazz has a sticker set that you can buy doesn't he?

Just some general info would be great freaks!

I’d be very surprised at an MP Jazz. As BCM77 said there is no possibility of a licence from VW and I think as far as HasTak are concerned the Alternator covers him. In the case of the 84 Autobot cars I think there might be a possibility of a Ironhide/Ratchet though. I’d say that the Alt/binaltech line is the closest to MP that you can get at the moment.
If you need stickers to upgrade or make your figs more Gen 1 https://reprolabels.com/ is your friend.

There are a whole load of third party companies out there at the moment producing add ons, upgrades and entirely new figures. The quality of these just keep getting better and better, but they can be a bit pricey.

I agree an MP Soundwave would be awesome! You just know it would only come with 2 cassettes, with the others coming with the inevitable Soundblaster repaint !!

(PS Mark IV is the absolute nuts!! Roll on Mark V and VI)
