I was hoping for that so I won't get tempted. There's a local toy store that will get it in, their site is $130 but I have a feeling it will cost more when they have it instock.

DA-28 looks like he will be geared up like DOTM, hope he will have his face guard since my buster is the one without.

Anyone know if they ever made and "Art Of" type book or any of the live action movies? I'm trying to find some good reference for the robot models.

I think for the price you're paying for a Revoltech just go the extra mile and get DMK01. The prices are double, but Revoltechs are super small and DMK01 is larger and more detailed.

revoltech will be around 30+ shipping once it gets US distribution. how much will the model kit be?
additionaly, how many weapons does the model come with?

It'll also look LOADS better unpainted

don't get me wrong, the model is awesome. but you can't beat the revoltech for the price. odds are he's going to be closer to 6 inches.

I don't think he will be $30 plus shipping, going off of this price. They seem to be pretty accurate on prices. I didn't think Revoltech got US distribution, or wide distribution.

He looks alright to me, but certainly now $54 good. Now if one saves up a little more, and really $120 isn't much, then they can get a model that is larger, at least twice as large, more detail, but less weapons.

Not saying that you're saying the model isn't. I don't think any one on here can say it looks like ____, or even bad.

Just basing my pricing estimate on other revoltech figures i've purchased. 54$ is what Tf source is charging atm, and they're known for being overpriced on limited, import stuff. much like the 400$ they charged for shadow scyther.

IF you want it RIGHT NOW, yes, you're paying 54$.

wait till November/ December, when it's readily available at BBTS, robot kingdom, robotoys, and etc?

you can get it for 30.

I've been collecting revoltech figures for a while now. much like medicom, you wait a month or 3 they drop in price pretty dramatically. though, wait too long, and price gouging. YAY.

Sadly just the blades. I wish he had a gun, that would have been awesome.

YouTube - ‪Dual Model Kit 01 OPTIMUS PRIME‬‏
man I watched this and it is just all kinds of awesome! like others I wish he came with more than just the blades, but it's still awesome. And with Buster Prime Running about the same price or more nowadays, I may just dive in and get this one. I'm sure the new leader optimus with the new ab pieces and the shield and gun aren't going to have the awesome paint apps like this one does.

Not at all brother. No offense taken, felt, nor intended. I mearly wish to educate. To each their own. I mostly dislike the movie ascetic, but I love transformers and revoltech, so this one gets into the collection :lol

what scale/how big is the DMK anyways?

Looking at the review by Peague makes it look to be about as big as a Master grade gundam kit, with the complexity somewhere between master grade and Perfect Grade.

if that's the case, then it's worth the asking price, and i'd love to see one all painted up by Frenzyrumble or Dub.

If Frenzy painted one that would be insane in detail! And yeah, none taken, it was all in good discussion. But you know I felt I should say that because some people take things so damn personal and ____ on here. :lol

I assumed he was leader class sized.

looks that way. so he's closer in size to the Gundam perfect grade figures. yeah, he's worth the 120$ price.

New pic for hercules. someone put The exgraver arm on the energon devs

Wait wait I don't get it. Is the revoltech one a model kit which you have to assemble for yourself and paint? It's not a ready made figure?

And is the DMK01 a ready made figure as well? You're right though the DMK01 looks really great. Is there anything it is lacking compared to the Revoltech one or in terms of exact similarity from the movies?

Okay, Revoltech is small, like six inches. It is also articulated and comes fully assembled and painted very nicely.

DMK01 is a model kit. It is the size of a leader class figure. It COMES PAINTED but not assembled. The assembly is not too hard I heard because it is a snap kit, no glue required.

Revoltech's are totally assembled and painted, ready-to-go action figures.

The Dual Model Kit is exactly that - a model kit that has to be assembled. It's molded in the correct colors with chrome bits, etc, so painting isn't required but certainly would improve it. Also it IS poseable when completed, not stationary like a statue.

Edit: What EP2 said. :lol

What they said. as an added thought on the DMK.

If you've ever built a Gundam Model kit ( a high grade or master grade, 1/100 scale or bigger) it's like those.

Revoltech is a super articulated figure. it comes built and painted.

and they are CRAZY poseable. some pics of my personal favorite revol figure

I'll most likely get both then. Thanks Elder and lerath666 you've been a big help.

And what's this about a DA-28 you've been talking about? Any links? Is it a snap kit or a ready figure? Scale?

DA-28 is a Optimus Prime Leader Class figure made by Takara, the Japanese Version of Hasbro. Not trying to be condescending, just not sure you knew what they were.

More info:

Hey no worries at all I wasn't aware of that information since like I said earlier I'm completely new to this scene so I need all the new knowledge that I can get. Thanks for the link.

So based on the article, it's a transforming kind with 3 modes, so I assume it's not a close replica to the robot mode compared to the DMK01 and the Revoltech one?
