It's not perfect but it doesn't have panels hanging off the arms or huge rabbit feet like the Generations one and it looks like it'll turn into a G1 style Kup with modern articulation and the same alt mode....what the Generations version should have been IMO.

I wonder whether iGear will decide to make their own at some point since they've already done the heads so depending on how the final version of this one turns out I may still wait & see.

thanks guys! the scratched metal is just randomized. it's tough, easy to do "too little" or go overboard. i usually use the side of a brush's bristles and hit the edges.

Seriously credit where it's due & that piece you made deserves all the credit in the world it truely is just about the best looking Movie Prime I've ever seen & if I had a spare $2k+ I'd be all over your auction right now.

The torso area is also the bit I'm not liking but maybe it's an early test version and there'll be further changes before the final piece is made.

Generations Kup is OK with either of the iGear heads replacing the stock one but it's still not really the aesthetic I want with modern Transformers.

Since Bayformers came along Hasbro have been obsessed with every alt mode having to be as realistic as possible and G1 characters that always stood out for having wacky alt modes like Kup & Blurr have been reduced to having generic Earth modes which to me is boring.

iGear already have 3 different versions of their Legends Class VW available on their website so if VW don't do anything with those they probably won't for the Deluxe one.

Has\Tak won't give a crap unless iGear suddenly develop the resources to put their stuff in the same mass retail markets.

I'll be watching the progress of this with great intrest because the robot mode already looks much nicer than the Generations toy....the robot mode is much "cleaner" which is consistent with his G1 animation model and his various comic interpretations.

This looks like sheet. The Hasbro/Takara one is perfect with the iGear head.

There wasn't really shown much Generations or movie wise at the Hasbro panel. Looks like they'll try to get the final Generations figures out soon, then have the next iteration of Classics come out next year, along with the follow up line to DOTM. This leaves the holiday to the TF Prime toys, but at least those are looking fantastic. I especially love Cliffjumper and Optimus, those two will be must haves!

Agreed, the Prime figures look fantastic. Bulkhead, Arcee, Cliffjumper and Starscream especially.

That is....rubbish....honestly....its so bad its funny.
I know you have a hard on for KO's but seriously dude how can you sit there and say that looks good?
Even the head looks awful.
I think youre being way too hard on official releases and looking at every TP release with rose-tinted glasses.

And since when did sticking tons of random junker parts on another toy make it a "custom" or a "piece of art"?

I think the look that has been attempted is much more in line with how Kup looks in the recent IDW art in stories such as LSOTW which for me is preferable to the reimagined interpretation of the Generations\United mold.

At this stage it clearly needs some improvements because they've not pulled that look off as well as I would really like to see but the basis is there for a perfectly acceptable version of Kup should they remodel a few parts of it before the final piece is decided on.

I think it had a long way to go before it can be deemed "perfectly acceptable".

The torso needs to be brought down onto the waist a bit further, and the knees and legs need a lot of work as well.

I think they should throw this design in the trash and start over, i cant see this getting much better without pretty much throwing half of it away and re-doing it.

???really???? I am all about everyone having an opinion, but man.. I think that looks rather awful. It's funny, cause I dig the Hasbro version, but this thing is just all kinds of mis-proportioned.

It's definitely going in the right direction, but it's not quite there yet.
it's... very reminiscent of the 3rd party arcee that's out there. I don't much care for it, but it's a good start.

I think my biggest problem is his lower torso looks like it came from a smaller sized figure, and his upper toprso looks like it came from a larger one.

it's like a custom made from a deluxe class and a voyager.

yeah thats the prime i got....it was a ROTF Prime but he came with hooks....i have been looking on ebay but nothing....are they custom sites that might sell these...kinda like the hands and such...?...if so...a link would be appreciated....thanks dudes...

Jizaitoys made Wheelie, Cyclonus & Powerglide and that's a different guy.

The Wheelie & Powerglide kits have been ripped off by a group called X-Transbots are being released in 2 different scales, larger than the originals and the same size.

I got a message from Kapow Toys and it seems that their shipment of TFC Scavenger will be shipped tomorrow so not long to wait

In addition they're also expecting the first FP Insecticon this week!
