REally? I'm STILL waiting on BBTS.for my insecticon, and Exgraver.

Let us know what you think when you get them.

Exgraver is now in stock at RobotKingdom so depending where Kapow Toys get their stock from it should be 7-10 days before they get it.

Which would mean it could arrive whilst I'm away :gah:

Be nice to finally get it though as the continual drama over the scale and the price at TFW has been getting rather pathetic.

Heads up iGear fans, the pre-orders for Ironhide, Ratchet, Huffer & Seaspray are up!,

Ironhide
https://shop.igeartoys.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=115

Ratchet
https://shop.igeartoys.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=116

Huffer
https://shop.igeartoys.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=117

Seaspray
https://shop.igeartoys.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=118

Ironhide & Ratchet are about what I was expecting pricewise and I think £70 is decent value with all the extras that are included.

Ratchet having some of the same weapons as Ironhide is a bit odd from a character POV but I'll just use them with other characters as spare weapons are never a bad thing to have.

I'm pleasantly suprised at the pricing for the Minibots which will cost me about the same as an official Scout Class toy.....damn good value by 3rd party standards and both look like they stepped right out of the cartoon.

^ Cool.

I don't know if I really want to drop $100 + each on Ironhide and ratchet but i am down with those mini bots.

I don't understand what Hasbro is thinking lately, the demand for Classics figures is there, yet they continue to ignore the potential of the line and continue to release hardly anything at all.

big bad toystrore got preorder restocks for the shado, dia, and city commanders today... and sold out already.. i didn't find out till now.

I'll never get shadow commander :cry

Yeah, it's a decent value. I think I'd rather see less accessories at a lower price for future Autobot cars though.

I guess that price includes shipping though, right? I'll wait and see what TFSource sets. Might wait until these actually come out, too. I don't want to get hosed on quality issues...

The Minibots pricing is excellent! :)

Wow, that's fantastic pricing for the minibots.

I don't understand what Hasbro is thinking lately, the demand for Classics figures is there, yet they continue to ignore the potential of the line and continue to release hardly anything at all.

Hey, think of it like this. They give the retailers what they want with more movie toys now, and then for next year they can go all out again using the money they made with that. That's how it went for Universe and Generations/RTS.

As far as extras go it depends on the character for me, Ironhide being a heavy weapons specialist has allowed iGear to really go to town and Ratchet has a good selection of tools as well as a selection of the same weapons as Ironhide but I agree that other characters could perhaps be cheaper and just have their signature weapon and an alternate head.

I think the best thing about the extras is I could definitely see myself using all of them for displays as they're not really episode specific....all the stuff that came with the first release of MP Grimlock was based around a couple of episodes one of which had the character at his most goofy....I'd sooner forget that happened :lol

All prices include shipping.

I remember reading reports of various QC issues with the first run of Faith Leader but iGear were pretty good at replacing parts or entire figures so I'm confident things will be OK.

That guy fabexmax at TFW has said that the plastic quality has been improved from Faith Leader ( which was never really awful anyway ) and the reviews I've read of their MP Ramjet were largely positive ( most said the quality was like an official MP Seeker ) so it seems like they're dedicated to giving fans a quality product, even though they don't allow licenses to get in the way :lol

The Minibots could be the best value 3rd party items so far.

They're G1 cartoon accurate, nicely articulated and with a weapon for pretty much the same price as an official Scout Class Bayformer would cost me.....guess which I prefer?

That's good to hear. I don't see anything wrong with my Faith Leader, to be quite honest, so if quality is on par or better, I'll be happy.

Still not going to plunk down the cash now, though. I'd rather pay later. These aren't coming out for a while.

My Faith Leader was from the 2nd run and is fine. It feels very different to the official MP mold but it's more to do with the lack of diecast than anything, there is a difference in the plastic but it's not awful by any means.

What impresses me most about Ironhide & Ratchet is the overall design, the vehicle modes look almost seamless and the robot modes have minimal kibble that doesn't appear to restrict the poseability and the nostalgia factor from an aesthetic that's so faithful to the various incarnations of G1 whether the cartoon series, Marvel comics or the more recent IDW stuff is fantastic.

The nod to the Bayformers movies with Ironhide's BFG's is also cool as he's one of my favorite movie designs. Maybe iGear will do movie colored repaints to match the Encore ones.

When you consider that Has\Tak have immense resources to throw at a project it makes you wonder how their Ironhide & Ratchet turned out so badly.....I know compromises have to be made for the pricepoint they have to sell their toys at but there's plenty of evidence to suggest they could still have made a better Ironhide\Ratchet than that POS that was released in the Universe\Henkei lines.

EDIT
Rumors are now emerging that iGear could be working on,

SHOCKWAVE!

Really hope that's true as I'm sick of seeing customs made from that crappy Energon mold.

Shockwave?

soooooooo happy i didn't cave and get the Bayformer version .

Not 100% confirmed yet but fingers crossed!

What has been confirmed is that iGear are releasing Starscream, Skywarp & Thundercracker to go with Sunstorm & the Coneheads.

I hope Starscream is the same silver\grey as the G1 toy as I never liked the white of the Wal-Mart one.

Scale wise the MP ones are more realistic than the Deluxes in how they fit in to the rest of my displays so it could be time to sell my Henkei and Generations ones to help raise the cash.

Sweet, I'll get Thundercracker at least. Probably pass on Starscream and Skywarp though.

Even if it isn't confirmed, I imagine Shockwave's only a matter of time...

Oh Dear that will be awesome with the re-issues of Starscream etc.

I think I might sell the original MP's I have if they turn out as good as I hope.

I do need to order the rest of iGears Coneheads but there's just never enough money...anyone wanna buy my Beast Wars collection ;) lol

Interesting news on Shockwave, that would be pretty awesome if he does come soon.

I'm ordering my first iGears this week with the 2 minibots :yess:
I'd love Ratchet & Ironhide too but I think saving for the coneheads is my first priority

Thanks for keeping us updated BCM I appreciate your hard work :hi5:

soundwave,
No problem!

Good news for anyone who's ordered TFC Scavenger,

Early in hand reports are coming in and the plastic quality is good, one guy has even said it's better than the stuff FansProject use :rock

The only slight area of concern is that there's no pics of Bonecrusher or Mixmaster in the manual or anywhere so the speculation about whether they'll be made will continue for the time being.

There's a TF convention coming up in Canada where many 3rd party groups are going to be showing their stuff so it seems likely they'll finally get revealed there.

With MakeToy's Devastator in the making TFC would be stupid not to.

This is a commissioned custom, for a friend. He asked i put my spin on a great custom done by painting master : Spurt Reynolds. Spurt's can be seen here : https://spurt-reynolds.deviantart.com/art/Movie-Soundwave-robot-mode-139046323

This is a "movieverse Soundwave" using the Voyager Ratchet mold (great figure) i swapped the head (ball joint) added articulated hands (swivel at wrists) ...c/o Customs by Z, Lots of details and fun stuff, including sonic speakers from Generations Jazz. Soundwave also has an "attach mode" and the underside of his alt mode flips over his shoulders has a clear orange bullet-proof shield. Laserbeak came from a Universe Blaster.
