Frenzy_Rumble,

WOW simply WOW!!!

There's not much else you can say, that really is the most amazing piece of work I've ever seen.

Simply stunning.

Congrats on such a brilliant piece.

Neil

WOW! How do you do those scratched metal effect?

thanks guys! the scratched metal is just randomized. it's tough, easy to do "too little" or go overboard. i usually use the side of a brush's bristles and hit the edges.

There wasn't really shown much Generations or movie wise at the Hasbro panel. Looks like they'll try to get the final Generations figures out soon, then have the next iteration of Classics come out next year, along with the follow up line to DOTM. This leaves the holiday to the TF Prime toys, but at least those are looking fantastic. I especially love Cliffjumper and Optimus, those two will be must haves!

The Amazon exclusive Unicron repaint is looking fantastic as well. :clap

Big shame about HA Soundwave though. He'd look good if it weren't for those awful short, stumpy legs and misplaced blue. I get why they did it, but I'd rather have this be movie accurate, and then have a black repaint with blue robot bits. Hopefully he'll look better in person, like Barricade did (who also looked bad in initial pics).

Someone brought up G1 arcee at the QnA as well.
it's my understanding that hasbro was a little evasive about their answer.

So if a Generations Arcee is made it'll probably be a G1 colored version of the Prime toy :lol

I also noticed they haven't even used the e-hobby headsculpt on that hideously colored Wreck-Gar repaint :cuckoo:

No wonder the 3rd party groups are so popular, Hasblo just aren't worth the effort.

I'll be very surprised if G1 Arcee isn't in the next take on Classics. They've had her on the tables since Kup was being worked on, and probably would have been in Generations or RTS if it weren't for Prime Arcee (who would have been a Generations release if they hadn't pushed the Prime toys back).

Come on man, don't be so unreasonably bitter, you're better than that.:dunno

EDIT: Dub, there's a sticky in the Prime board on TFW that has torrents. One by Dark Prime, another thread that has torrents of other people. Can't go wrong with either of those. I'd link you, but TFW is having issues.

did anyone get better pictures of the wreck-gar re-paint? i wanted to see what head he was getting,

It's the same as the RTS Wreck-Gar release of the mold.

Ra88,
I'm not being bitter, Hasbro have their markets for the 2 lines they're currently pushing and they will sell accordingly.

But with iGear set to release such awesome representations of Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper & Impactor it's pretty laughable to see Hasbro only offering repaints and rereleases for another Generations wave.

Thanks, i'll have a look when the site works

Heres some pics I took of Jetwing Prime.

Yes you are. Instead of just saying 'not for me', you feel it necessary to make a dig at them. Is there really any reason for that? :dunno

Re-releases of currently hard to find figures, so I don't know what's the problem with that. And of course there's repaints, it's the end of the line. If they release new ones now, they'd just be impossible to find. Better to hold off any new ones for next year and try and make wanted figures like Wheeljack and Warpath widely available instead.

Besides, the break is a good thing! With no new Generations for the rest of 2011, fans who aren't interested in movie and Prime toys can instead focus on the upcoming third party releases. Then in 2012, when there's probably going to be a lull in 3rd party figures (they'd be insane not to make use of the break and release them in the next half year), fans can jump back on the next iteration of Classics. Which, if I'm right, may contain a few WFC figures, since WFC2 will most likely be coming out next year. :)

Where to even begin with this guy...well, too many hours went into him, I can say that for starters. This is my interpretation of the "Ultimate" Optimus Prime, although he doesn't have an alt mode, this custom has countless articulation (literally, I am too lazy to count it all) and other cool stuff. There are 10 LED lights on this custom. all with accessible batteries.

Here's the list of modifications and extras :
- Custom built hands each with articulated wrists and 10 points of articulation
- 2 interchangable heads via ball joint socket, including the "Ultimate" battle mask, with clear visor
- Each head "plugs" into a working blue LED light
- Custom built wings which can be positioned/spread
- Custom jetpack with red light up LEDs
- Sound/voice chip including a handful of power-up noises and phrases like "I am Optimus Prime"
- Custom thrusters (not jetpack) with another pair of working red LEDs
- Custom fit "Dark of the Moon" abs and torso
- Custom rear-view mirrors on chest
- Hand painted and pin-striped flames with fade
- Removable/snap-on energon swords (each with light up red LED light)
- Custom built gun, snaps into forearm, with light up red LED light)
- Custom waist area armor, with swivel side parts
- Legs include articulation at upper thigh (allowing swivel outwards)
- Feet on strong, tight ball joints
- Gatling guns on both forearms, with ammo belts
- Towers at 12" / 30.5 cm tall
- Weighs 35.8 oz, 2.2 lbs!

No I'm not, the comment was made as tongue in cheek kind of thing.

Next incarnation of Classics = Couldn't care less. iGear's PP line is set to lead the way with scale and the design aesthetic they're using is perfect. In time I hope to replace all my CHUG toys of the '84 cast with their PP counterparts as well as other releases like the Fan Toys Soundwave & Blaster.

WFC2 figures = Will be rereleases of the existing ones with perhaps a Seeker mold thrown in....I will have no intrest in the line.

I don't hate Hasbro, at this time I just consider them unimportant to my enjoyment of Transformers.

Now there's a 3rd party Kup in the making! :rock

I'll be watching the progress of this with great intrest because the robot mode already looks much nicer than the Generations toy....the robot mode is much "cleaner" which is consistent with his G1 animation model and his various comic interpretations.

???really???? I am all about everyone having an opinion, but man.. I think that looks rather awful. It's funny, cause I dig the Hasbro version, but this thing is just all kinds of mis-proportioned.

It's not perfect but it doesn't have panels hanging off the arms or huge rabbit feet like the Generations one and it looks like it'll turn into a G1 style Kup with modern articulation and the same alt mode....what the Generations version should have been IMO.

I wonder whether iGear will decide to make their own at some point since they've already done the heads so depending on how the final version of this one turns out I may still wait & see.
